Good to know at 40 years of age I'm faster than average on 3x3, Pyraminx, Skewb and Clock and pretty much right on average for 4x4, not bad considering I was 38 when I solved my first cube.
I've been cubing for 4 years, on my first year I got my first 10.96 single and official Sub 15 Avg of 5 at home. I peaked 10.55 single in competition with a Sub 14 average after a year and a half but ever since lost interest in cubing because I just couldn't improve beyond sub 12. My best average of 3 was around 10.3 and I can definitely see the future the average time would probably even drop to 25 seconds instead of 30 because of modern technology. Thank you for making this video I was looking for these statistics but couldn't find them :)

At first I was like “there’s no way it takes the average cuber over 2.5 minutes for a mega mix! Then realized how long each step was individually and realized I myself probably took over 3 moms
I got my fist cube 4 months ago and I can solve a 3x3 in about 30 seconds average (18.194 PB) and a Megaminx in about 15 minutes, but I never watched a tutorial for a Megaminx and I'm only using my 3x3 experience. I have solved the Megaminx about 6 times. The first time took me about 45-50 minutes.
The problem with blindfolded is that I always mess up but with open eyes I can solve it in exactly time of average speed cube 3×3 average is around 35 to 45
How do I compare to the average cuber: 3x3 - faster 2x2 - faster 4x4 - slightly faster 5x5 - slower pyraminx - faster Skewb - slightly faster 3BLD - waaaay slower and slower at all the other events because I don't do them!
If you've practiced CFOP for a month straight and average 50 seconds, it means you aren't practicing enough (amount of hours) or your practicing is inefficient (Alot of moves, pauses, rotations, regrips, etc.)
My 2x2 average is around 45 seconds My 3x3 is from 1:30-2:00 My skewb is around 25 seconds Pyraminx for me is 13-14 seconds Edit: 3x3 OH is around 7 minutes
I average about 25. My pb single is 17 and my pb average of 5 is 22. Any pointers to improve on f2l or cross? I have good lookahead with almost no pauses but I struggle to be more move efficient
cool I am faster in all the events that I seriously do (2×2, 3×3, 4×4, skewb) the 2×2 average is surprisingly slow since we always see top cubers average under 2 seconds
i average about 40-55 seconds on 3x3 and its normal for me to get a sub 10 pyraminx average effortlessly even tho ive been cubing for less than a month
@@dart5689 Is your cross 8 moves or lower? Do you plan your entire cross in inspection? Do you pause, rotate, regrip alot in F2L? Are your fingertricks good? Are you using the keyhole technique?
@@donkbonktj5773 Im starting too! I just learned full pll, and some better f2l algs. I avg about 1 or 2 rotations for f2l, and I make sure I have no pauses. Currently my pb is 13 and I avg 19(Still need to work on my fingertricks for cross, and better pll recognition, in addition to eliminating my biggest pauses after cross, and after my 2 look oll
@@dart5689 You're improving :) My pb is 13 seconds as well and I average 19-22 seconds. I haven't learned full PLL because... its boring, but I will push my self lol
i am a speedcuber cuz i average like 16 sec for 3x3 36 sec for 3x3 one hand 13 sec for skewb 6 sec for 2x2 but for 5x5 i dont practise much and dont have good 5x5 so i get like 5 min average which is terrible in my opinion.i wish i knew how to get faster and my 4x4 is a friking rubik's brand so...7 min average for 4x4 lol and also just to keep in mind that i have been learning all these events i typed in altogether for like 8 months now

The Multi-BLD is actually 58 cubes. He attempted 59 cubes but he only solved 58/59 cubes.

I average 21 seconds. Plan on cutting that down to 15 seconds this year with memorizing all Oll algs.
