@@bubbles42188 He got the tattoo for fashion purposes more than likely, the robbery happened in 1993 and he got the tattoo in 1998. After the attack I never a scar on his face, but maybe he wore makeup. If you go back and look at videos and their live performances, you never see any scars or marks on his face after his attack. He had the money to pay for excellent surgery and to get treatments to prevent scarring. When Mike Tyson visited DeVante and stayed 3 days with him, Mike saw DeVante face tattoo and then Mike Tyson went and got a face tattoo a week later. DeVante was mad because Mike Tyson copied his style, so they didn't speak for a while. When Pink saw DeVante's tattoo when he first got it she said she loved it and DeVante told her don't bite it on her next album because she was getting ready to release her album Misunderstood. So that's the story behind his face tattoo.

I played the shit out of their third album. The show he afterparty the hotel. Smoothest most innovative r&b album ever. And before that i rocked to foremver my lady and diary of a mad band. Kci jojo was just an extension of jodeci into 2000s. But jodeci is always going to be the 4. Makes me mad they never made another record after that. What tha hell.
I prayed for this reunion for years. Many many blessing to every last one of them. They stay in my prayers.

It was soooo good to see these brothas unite as one again and come together to do what they do best! Jodeci did what many groups and artists don't do enough of today and that is sing about "LOVE!!" Yeah..they made their freakin you tracks but love was in their music from Foever My Lady to U & I to Love U 4 Life!! The list goes on. You don't hear the love in music like u did back in the 90s. It would be REFRESHING to the industry to see Jodeci make another album. They were that group that nobody could touch when it came to their producing and writing. Devante was a musical genius!!
A lot of people don't realise what a genius he truly was, even on tunes he produced outside of Jodeci & a lot of big names who he helped developed. Devante & Jodeci took 90s rnb onto another level. Devante's musical arrangements was just outstanding & pleasing to the ear. Most groups wanted to be like them but Jodeci had a certain vibe & flava that couldn't be matched. You can't talk about 90s rnb without including Jodeci in the conversation, that's the kind of impact they had in the industry.

Awards was on last night 06/12. I didn't know Jodeci were going to be featuring until it was mentioned in the pre show a few times. I was glued to the tv after this lol. A lot of women in the audience looking glossy-eyed & love-struck. Let's hope that they have learnt lessons in the last 20 years & come back to release some brilliant new albums. It's good that they are all well & back together. Their fan base will never leave them, to many good memories. I only hope they will be inspired to please their loyal fans & come back because we all need a little bit of Jodeci.
