  • Another job off the list!! The GSX-R can smell it's own freedom now it's so close!! :D I know this isn't a full rebuild by any means but it does cover how to do fork seals and fork oil, which honestly for me is enough for now. I would like to fully upgrade the forks to something more modern at some point too so I didn't want to go too in depth for this one :)
    If you did find it helpful though please do let me know in the comments :)
    Thanks for watching!! :)

    Afternoon mate just watched the vid
    My zzr 1400 has a upside down fork are the components the same in most fork that are upside down the manual says I need to use the spring compressor but your way goes form the bottle and leaves the cartridge in place

    • @TheGorillaBiker
      @TheGorillaBiker  Год назад +1

      They're mostly the same, but some do need to be taken down differently, I was also only changing seals and oil. Some forks you won't be able to reassemble them without breaking them down further, not very helpful I know, sorry about that, I'd honestly follow your manual as best you can.

    • @SRR35669
      @SRR35669 Год назад

      @@TheGorillaBiker level is good, i don’t think the oil pump is picking up oil, either that or a passage way is blocked. the pipe that goes to the oil filter was leaking, hopefully not a expensive fix. I did ride the bike for around 3 mins back home at the r the light turned on, do you think any damage was done?

    • @TheGorillaBiker
      @TheGorillaBiker  Год назад

      I couldn't say on damage man unfortunately, you'd have to strip it and look or drain the oil and check for metal at minimum. Otherwise if it sounded healthy it might just be the oil pressure sensor, I would guess that's all it is, plus if you had a leak you might have just had low pressure, hopefully it's all good.

    HOW DARE YOU TAKE OFF YOUR SIGNATURE WATCH?!
    I'm jamming to this sick guitar solo in the background of your video
    All I got so far from this video is that you need to give the fork a handjob a lot and it will work
    Now you need to tell me how much oil you put in the fork
    ^I typed that before you said to DM you the question lol
