EzCosplay Debacle

  • My experience with EzCosplay. EZCosplay is a company that mass produces cosplay costumes for cosplayers who do not craft/make outfits. It is a great solution for people who are on a budget or cannot craft. Unfortunately, they are going through a bit of a bad phase at the moment.
    Summary of Experience:
    1)Received 3 costumes (that I paid nearly $400 for in November 2020) on 12/10/2020. All three needed tailoring but one (KDA MORE/All Out) did not match the preview image AT ALL.
    2) After nearly a week of back and forth emails I was promised a new outfit.
    3) During those discussions EZCosplay did the following: told me it was a description error, admitted to Factory shopping, admitted that it was a mockup, said they changed the images last minute, asked me to cancel my PayPal refund claim, demanded I takes down social media posts showing the comparisons/communications and finally admitted to their error and offered to send a new costume.
    The new costume has some issues (chain on choker does not work, waist adornment cannot be attached to the waist, glove is not hemmed, slight tears on the mesh sleeve and damage to the spikes during shipping since they were not properly stuffed) HOWEVER it IS wearable and can be a very nice costume with a couple hours of tailoring/repairs by me.
    I thank EZCosplay for admitting their wrongdoing and sending me a new costume but I do not appreciate them falsely advertising their product when it is not yet ready for resale. I would like to see them be more honest with their customers and stop sharing images on their social media of cosplays that they do not actually make. BE MORE GENUINE please EzCosplay. Being genuine goes a LONG way with customer satisfaction.

    My personal experience with them is that the simpler the costume, the more likely you are to be happy with the final product. They don't seem to do too great with details.

    Hi, we sorry again for bringing you the inconvenience caused.
    We did make mistakes in the operation process and quality issues. We admit and are willing to take all responsibilities. We have not evaded and focus on customer experience and are willing to solve problems for customers.
    We have made 2 version costumes for the order but sorry that still didn't let you 100% satisfied, and we finally reach an agreement. We have reviewed and summarized the whole matter, in future work, we will strictly control each process and improve product quality as well as the service level. We are so sorry again for the issues and thanks for your support!

    I got my princess hisui from fairytail costume from ezcosplay and cloak is accurate colour is accurate from the anime im happy with it
