My favorite place to relax, eat and watch the parade go by from above.
As a side note to the last tidbit mentioned in the video regarding recipes using cream from the Normandy town of Isigny, in first few years, all full service restaurants in the park and hotels served "Beurre d'Isigny" with their bread rolls, which I thought was a nice touch. Besides, it's really delicious and whenever I'm in France, I make sure to buy a few bars of sweet cream butter from Isigny.
Sadly, the resort switched to a more generic brand, probably also cheaper, a long time ago.
Ik heb hier 2 weken geleden nog gegeten. Was een heerlijke, geweldige, onvergetelijke avond. Fantastisch!
Leuk :)
Very nicely done
Thank you very much!

Walt's apartment in Disneyland is above the fire station in town square, main st. NOT New Orleans square. And yes, he did actually live there. The light is left on all the time since his death to show that Walt is still in the park. Club 33 is different. Walt never lived there.
While indeed the original apartment was located above the fire station in Town Square (roughly in the spot where the book store is located in Disneyland Paris), used mostly just by Walt alone already during construction of Disneyland, this was pretty small (just about 46 sq. m), a living room with a couches that could be used as beds, a bathroom, dressing room and a small kitchen as well as an outdoor patio with view of Town Square.
So when New Orleans Square was built, Walt added a much bigger apartment above Pirates of the Caribbean, where the family could stay much more comfortable. It was located next door to Club 33.
As Walt died with the apartment still unfinished, it was repurposed into storage space for the shops in New Orleans Square first and later into the Disney Gallery. For the "Year of a Million Dreams" promotion, that space was transformed into the Disneyland Dream Suite, which was significantly larger at 200 sq m. Imagineering planned the space using many of the original design drawings by Dorothea Redmond for the apartment. It comprised of 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living roomn an open-air patio as well as a balcony with view of the Rivers of America.
Sadly, the Dream Suite closed in 2016 and was changed into a VIP dining room called 21 Royal.
Mouseplanet has a page on their website dedicated to the Dream Suite, there you can also find a photo of the balcony railing with the gold letter ornament that inspired the lettering at Walt's Restaurant.
