W O W ! What incredible virtuoso playing, Cole. An electrifying performance of this awesome homage from Earl Wild to the Gershwin brothers' 'I Got Rhythm'. Such inventive weaving of sounds to propel this mesmerizing music beyond the bounds of genius. Your commentary was, as always, superlative and adds (along with the score annotations) significantly to the enjoyment of your recordings. What really adds the sparkle to your playing is that we can sense your enjoyment in making all those black marks on white paper live as Wild intended. Just perfection to my ears: B R A V O !
well now, you know, this is my least favourite of these Wild/Gershwin Etudes. It's not because it's not clever or humorous or seriously difficult or sparkly of course and your insightful (as always) analysis shows that. It's because it's not what I wanted !! I wanted/expected something bigger, more extensive and weightier than Wild actually delivered (how dare he), perhaps like Gershwin's own variations for piano and orchestra. Your analysis helps me like it more for what it is, rather than what I wanted 🙂 Great performance, really clean fingers (how do you do that, many years of work I expect) and I think the clusters at the end are terrific (and clearly Wild rethought the ending after he published these).
@@TheIndependentPianist A video about your setup, including VST software, how you make your recordings and your thoughts about the VPC1 would be very interesting. Thanks for a great channel!

Great video, Cole! May I ask what keyboard you use for your videos?
