this level pack was really fun until I got to the part which breaks every established rule of the game with literally no foreshadowing. TELE+SHOVEL is hilariously unfair to your players in it's current state.
to be fair, there's at least one levelpack (letters+) that centers around that sort of mechanic, so it's not entirely unprecedented. to be less fair, it's not hinted at at all that that is a thing in this pack, so it's super duper bullshit
@@turingincomplete6844 That's kinda the thing though. You can't rely on people having played a completely separate, relatively recent, level pack as a tutorial to an unforeshadowed mechanic and expect people to get it. I've played Letters+ now, and it was great, but I hadn't when I did Vertigo, and no amount of actual thought was going to get me to solve that without the context Letters+ provides. It would have been random chance only. tldr: to be fair, we shouldn't be fair
THE METANESS IS ABSURD- 5:32 is really unfair. Only someone obsessed with Letters+ will get this, everyone else will have to look up the solution or just get it randomly without even trying. And it makes even less sense in 6:09 because it's vertical.
For some reason, idling while a shift and select object is on a selectable object causes it to shift in a random direction. To idle on an open level, I binded the controls to make a wait key that doesn't also enter levels. The game still tries not to let it happen though, so I pair the idle with another input by attempting to move while spamming the special wait key, which eventually works.
You made the Tele and shovel combo by renaming "tele" to "le" and make the phrase "all feeling le is t e l e" (the "t e l e" is made with the letters t,e,l,and e)then rename shovel and its text to "vel", right?
Vertigo can refer to a dizziness from looking down from a great height, which seemed to fit as the title since each inner level goes farther down from the surface. You can make a level pack based off this if you want.
@@keegandolan8313 Wait you can do that? You can use the letters from other words that AREN'T spelled out with letters themselves, to spell other words?
The tele + shovel thing seems a bit unfair, but otherwise really cool levels. Write seems so good for level packs
It's letters + thing I think
@@0m3on32But there’s no hint for that, and it’s not even mentioned. Overall, it’s something you wouldn’t think about.
I literally went "oh my god WOW" with that tele + shovel combo, that is insane
okay that tele and shovel got me blown away

Letters+ has that as it's whole gimmick/mechanic. Vertigo doesn't. You won't expect Letters+ from Vertigo, or any other level pack.
fist time I've seen write used in a custom level/level pack

My mind is blowing up
is no one going to talk about the select direction changing?
8:48 how does this work

And set them to "ba" type
“Perfectly normal level“
*So that was a f**king lie*
Using Letters+ in another levelpack
7:01 level write everything
oh my that’s complex
letters+ reference
What does vertigo mean?
Also can I make a level pack based off this?

It took me a second but then I realized that the “le” in tele and “vel” from shovel spell out “level”

@@jaarb7353 no, its a custom ting for this level pack. cool idea but idk how you'd ever figure that out
@@ManOfDuck it’s from letters+
