it shame that takara/hasbro new transformers figure transformation has dwindling down to a no brainner overly simplified transformation. i miss the transformation of this kind of magnitude but thankfully most 3rd party transformers figure had this kind or more transformation magnitude
This figure is incredibly fiddly. The car mode looks great and the robot mode looks pretty good as well. The tripod feet are kinda odd. Overall Not a bad looking bot.
I'm still mad that hasbro didn't have this and the deluxe figure. I'm also mad that hasbro didn't get the deluxe leadfoot. And I'm also mad that road buster (deluxe class) wasn't armored and that the human alliance leadfoot wasn't armored either.

this makes me think of that Barricade toy from the Transformers 07 toy line with Frenzy and the punching arm gimmick (i do not know what size it is). the overall look of Soundwave makes me think of the 07 character, with the top heavy body, similar arm transformation, and head transformation.

I noticed on ebay there are now selling human alliance soundwave with chinese writing on the front just below the 'Human Alliance' writing. The sellers are from China. Please can anyone tell me if these are fakes and if not, are they the same quality as Hasbro?

Thats what I'm saying. Hasbro is focusing alot on Bee. When the DOTM toyline strted coming to a close the entire Transformers toy area in the toy aise a t Walmart, Kmart, Target and Toys R Us was just FULL of Bumblebees!!!
That transformation is a lot like Barricade's... Back section becomes legs, front section is the chest, the sides of the car are the arms...But I love HA Barricade so it bothers me not.
@Cockonduty I just ordered HA Soundwave for 30, free shipping, which considering the prices going up for this guy, is wonderful. I, never was a fan of HA Bumblebee. The vehicle mode looks nice but the robot mode bugs me a little, he looks a little bulky and a cannon-only hand is a drawback for me. I don't know, maybe I just don't want a mini Shia LeBoeuf looking at me with dead, dead eyes.
The color doesn't seem as bad as what we had originally seen. At least it doesn't seem as bad as Dotm deluxe Sideswipe's paintjob. I really wish they would've given him a translucent visor like they did with Jazz. The paintjob seems kind of cheap on the face. I don't really like the Laserbeak it comes with also. I'll probably be replacing it with the deluxe Laserbeak when I display them together.

Ughh, why Hasbro? I thought this degradation of silver paint to dull gray plastic is only limited to DOTM Sideswipe,, The engineering is undeniably delicious, though :3 I'm amazed on how the barely stumpy legs unfold themselves from the hood section alone. For certain reason, he sorta just screaming HA Barricade (which is one of my top fave TF figures) due to the sidecar-to-arms transformation and the open-close mouth gimmick.

The way you had him posed in robot mode on the display rotator at the end reminded me of a destroyer droid.

I got a human alliance Roadbuster, and it took a long time to transform.
that hapened cuz when a new toyline came out for each movie, kids would alreready have the figures. so thats y dark of the moon toy line plumited.
@wildjack64 HA's normal cost 30 or so USD. The doors are hard to open/close so most people dont open them

all that back kibble, the weird shoulders, and those stilt feet made this a no-go for me, but I thought the ROTF Deluxe Soundwave was pretty amazing
