【米山舞】プロフィール
イラストレーター・アニメーター。長野県出身。
作画監督、キャラクターデザインとして「キズナイーバー」 / 「キルラキル」 / 「プロメア」などのアニメ作品に参加。2018年からはイラストレーターとして装画・広告などを手掛ける。
2019年には初個展「SHE」、2021年には個展「EGO」を開催。デジタルイラストレーションでありながらも、それぞれのイラストに合わせた印刷技法、支持体を組み合わせて作品を制作している。

米山舞先生の何がすごいって、この線画力……線の一本一本をピンポイントで引けるし、強弱の付け方とかが本当に綺麗
色はシンプルだけど、逆にそれが線画の美しさが際立ってて神秘的で凄い好き
マジでそれな。このイラストとか、エペのレイスを描いたイラストとか見ると線画のすごさがよくわかる。レイスのイラストは陰が一部しかついてなくてベースカラーだけの範囲が多いのに、線画とか構図のかっこよさで完成されてる。色もシンプルだけど、的確な色の選び方のおかげで線画の邪魔をしてないし、すっきりと見やすい作品になってる。だから米山さんの作品は本当に好き。
アニメ出身のイラストレーターさんってずっと原画描いてただけあって、総じて線が尋常じゃないくらい上手いですよね〜。。米山さんもだし、海島千本さんとかはなぶしさんとか、線画の時点で立体感や躍動感が成立してるから迫力が桁違い。
塗りも、流行りの淡い滲んだような水彩っぽい感じじゃなくて、日本アニメ特有の鮮彩さが出てるのも大好き(≧∇≦)b

At first I was like, "that's a weird grip", but I tried it myself and I found it to be surprisingly efficient when it comes to drawing long curved lines.

The way we hold a pen or pencil it’s more like a natural thing some hold them with two fingers other hold them like it’s a magic wand. I hold the pan the same way she’s holding.

Me too! I would get scolded a lot by teachers for holding it this way growing up but I couldn't change it. Nice to see a pro artist hold it the same way

That grip is one of graphic tablet techniques for strady strokes.
Your "normal grip", in another words, Pencil grip is perfect for writing small letters with pen/pencil on paper. However that can be the worst grip for long, steady and rhythmical strokes - especially on display glass and plastc surface which lack of friction. Just try any drawing with broken ball point pen on any glass surface. That's drawing with LCD tablet. Can you draw lines like her with your "normal" grip?
And you could hold pen stronger involuntary. Then you can't control over strokes properly And fingers get tired faster. It is bad for thumb tendon. Professional artists do that hours and hours everyday. Critical. That's why some artists hold pen like that.
(Of course they change to grip when they need, for example, lasso tool.)
In fact they are all basic rules of stroke - fix your finger, don't hold too tight, use larger parts of your arm, control pressure, don't hurry etc.

すごいペンの持ち方だな…。握り箸みたい……。神絵師の間ではこういうのが流行りなんだろうか？
腕全体で描くのが難しい等の理由で特殊な持ち方をされてるのだと思います。大体の方は文字を書くときは普通の持ち方になります😂。

普通のペンの持ち方って支える面積が少ないから長時間描いてるとどんどんにぎにぎした形にして触れる面積多くしたくなる 無意識に 硬質みたいな持ち方で絵描いてる人のが少ないとおもう
私も小さい頃から絵描いてて、ずっとこの持ち方なのですが、手首が疲れにくくて腱鞘炎になりにくいです！
薬指にペンのあとが出来てベッコリ凹みますが…
絵描きさんとかに多い持ち方みたいです。
