This is actually a bop. Fell in love with it on my first listen, kinda catchy. Dusttale is sort of a sad au if you come to learn about it. Sans had no other choice and clearly regrets it, blaming it on the human. I think this song resonates with dusttale in its own way.
After the Killer and Horror animated songs, I was so hoping for a Dust/Murder animated song too. And now we are getting one! Dust looks so good on the thumbnail art, and the song name is interesting. I like how dust and killer both have songs with "eye" in the title. Eyes of a Killer. Eye to Eye. it really shows their au connection. and even further, I like how the entirety of the murder time trio have songs that have titles with some kind of body part connected to them. killer and dust obviously have eyes as I've pointed out, but horror also has nerves. just something neat I found with these three and their songs! :D

And, Murder remembers resets (erases?) through some kind of bug/glitch/error/corrupted files? Who knows. It was only mentioned in the ask as a "happened a bug/glitch/error", not exactly explaining, what exactly. (So, we could write that off as a Player's doing?).
STrangeDude this sounds really like that hacker sans, you know, the guy who grabs the slash and goes all omega flowey on us. and although I am not familiar with the backstory of killer after that little animac of 'something new', just that chara 'tried something different'. however from what I recall Dust-tale occurs after countless genocides (as all evil Sanses do) when an error unrelated to Gaster happens, allowing Sans to remember the previous timelines. and Sans, being the comedien possibly assisting behind the DT extractor (and being aware of resets in some capacity prior), decides: 'yea telling them a psychotic murderer is on the loose? nah. BECOME a psychotic murderer to out murder the murderer? hell yea'

AHHH THIS IS SO COOL!!! The song and lyrics are so good and the lineless style + manga style are both so pretty!! Lineless in particular fits the vibe of Dusttale really well. 1:38 to 1:50 is my favourite part, the lyrics just flow so well esp with the kick punctuating each line, I think this set of lyrics really embodies Dust’s thought process behind his actions. Like, the idea of killing off the entire underground before you get there *is* crazy, but he’s just so done with you that he’s willing to get off his ass and actually go through with it just to put a stop to you. I also love the visual of Dust standing there with the items of different monsters he killed falling down around him as his LV slowly ticks up. My favourite line is probably “And I’m so astray I think I’ve lost my mind. But now we see each other eye to eye”, like Dust sacrificed all his sanity and morals just so he could face the Player / Frisk as a proper, equal threat. It also sort of feels like Dust is also saying that he now sort of understands what it’s like to be someone monstrous enough to commit such widespread genocide.
Its intresting to think that maybe "eye to eye" Could mean hes stood on the same path as the player.. Hes stooped down to their level in order to show their both killers but for different reasons ones mass genocide while the other is to seek revenge through genocide they both stand on a dangerous path yet seek different things.😮love this! I love the destruction and how much details the animation brings ❤❤
