I really wish you would have shown what it's like with full stiffness on the front and rear. I can't be the only one who was waiting for that. Overall super impressive and awesome!
I had both the front and rear sway bars and links changed on my 2021 Polaris rzr Xperia 1000 4, and it was the single most effective mod I’ve done; to day I have $21,000 in modifications…instal is not included in that price. This was my first SXS, so some of the things I bought were not effective. That said, $26,000 for the Polaris White Lighting, and $21,000 in mods; and the Shock Therapy Sway Bars and Links was the single most effective modification…making these machines safe. As a side not, I already have the Shock Therapy dual coils, and IRecomend and love them, but the sway bars and links…in my opinion…are more effective; I felt more difference and control ability in this modification. You guys made this sport…or hobby…safe…this will drastically reduce the chance of roll overs.
I found this video trying to find sway bar comparisons in general. I very much appreciate all the work an vs fun you guys put into making this video. 5 🌟
Justin, excellent explanation about sway bars. We are supporting our customer and they love it. When the people try it they love it. We introduce the first front sway bars from SHOCK THERAPYST in our country DOMINICAN REPUBLIC.
@@midgetman4206 who said anything about off road? I'm researching sway bars for my HotRod. So I watched this "Sway Bar testing" hoping he was going to test the sway bars... Regarding off road, especially slow rock crawling stuff, I think sway bars would definitely reduce/limit travel. Thus being counter productive. Cheers Aaron.
People should know why they wan't stiffer sway bars but they don't? The stiffness is a trade off and Polaris knows this. Sway bars are for high speed cornering. A counter to body roll. At lower speed in very rough terrain you should not have them. The sway bar does to some degree take away the "independent" in "independent suspension". That is why the Wrangler Rubicon got sway bar disconnects with a button for going off road. It is just 2 bolts in this setup so only a minute?
Sway bars have their pro's and cons. If you ride trails with banked turns and lots of rocks, not really ideal to have sway bars from what I've researched. I just snapped my sway bar last weekend on a rocky trail, broke clean in half. So I'm going to try running it without one.
For racing sway anti roll bars are great. However, for street driving with potholes, bad roads etc., they are not the best rattle vehicle etc? Your thoughts overall?
I got a question. how much of the usable suspension travel would you lose if you buy your bar and put it in the stiff mode. Would I want to put it in stiff for fast stuff like the desert. But then put it to loose when i'm in moab doing rocks, and crawling?
About 10%. But only in independence. Not total travel. Yes, you would run stiffer in high speed desert compared to looser for rock crawling or trail riding.
Sway bars are for on road cars only! For off road take them off and throw them away! That's why they did it on asphalt! Take a jump or ride over a rock with one on and then with then off! You will throw it in the garbage!
You are sadly mistaken. Every winning trophy truck in the last 10 years has a front and rear sway bar on it. Every wining UTV in the last 3 years in BITD or SCORE has at least one sway bar on it. Check your facts sir.
Great video. How will this affect the shock travel off road? Also, are the sway bars easy to disconnect if you don't want to use them while rock crawling?
I see no issues with the rear sway bar, but I see a MAJOR potential problem with the front sway bar bolting to the control arm like that. I'm no welding expert, but I've seen enough failed tubular control arms to know that increasing the stress on the weld joint between the bar and the mount is asking for trouble in the long term.
I understand your point but this video is quite old. Since we shot this we have sold over 2500 front sway bar kits with zero arm failures that didn't encounter a boulder. LOL
I agree... I HATE sway bars, but they do have their place....like running on paved roads seeing how fast you can run a solemn... if that's your thang.... I drive slow on rough trails and sway bars SUCK on that. With sway bars I was riding on three wheels most the time, bars off, you suddenly have four wheels on the ground...right where they should be.

30mph on loose lifted the rear tire also, like the stock swaybar
This video deserves some recognition!
Why didn't you show a run with a front and rear sway bar in stiff setup?
Well, I believe there are certain applications to require stiff sway bars front and rear.
Stiff bars "reduce" the amount independent suspension
@@midgetman4206 yes sway bars limit suspension travel.
But on a video titled "Sway Bar Testing" would you not test the sway bars...

Thanks for showing this. Sway bars make sense to me now
forget the sway bar, we're here making bets if the camera guy will survive till the end

normally with increasing rear stiffness oversteer increases? why does the opposite happen in your case?
What about front and rear at full stiff? I wonder how much faster ? Hmm regardless this is my next purchase great video
I was waiting stiff for front and back swag bar result
For racing sway anti roll bars are great. However, for street driving with potholes, bad roads etc., they are not the best rattle vehicle etc? Your thoughts overall?
why did you not test it with front and rear sway on stiff? will these bars work with a xp pro / hcr long arm kit ?
Would you recommend those for the RS1 ?
I think the RS1 is fine with out a stiffer bar. Unless your racing short course.
Does it make Sense to Change them in 2022 Yamaha 1000r yxz ?
perfect video, i was looking for
Hey can you share how u installed this anti roll bar and its geometry
You can just pull a pin for off-road use right?
does the can am x3 64 have a front swaybar system?
Glad they showed it but... these are off-road machines. Sway bay settings and use are very different.

Nice job!
Was considering, but after watching its seems not worth the investment for such a small improvement.
How about using a tripod for the camera?

Keep the sway bars for off road, helps prevent roll overs. I just rolled my YXZ last time I was out with the factory sway bars.

Might as will not have an independent suspension at that point.
Looks like they need to add more holes
wow amazing
where is the stability control :)
Motivational voice :P
what happens if you remove the sway bar
it'll ruin the suspension travel on rough terrain
