- I have made this video about Cleaning the Aperture blades in Carl Zeiss Planar 1.4 50mm T*, it was not a big problem.....
To open the lens from the front, you take off the hole front ring in one single piece screwing counterclockwise, then do the same with the front lens group.
Next part, you unscrew the back lens group in one piece counterclockwise, after that take off the bajonet with 3 screws, and then the back part with 4 screws, TAKE CARE with the little ball and spring, that belongs to the aperture ring.
From the front DO A MARK, inside at the plastic ring at the aperture and the body. For access to the aperture blades, there are 3 small set screws in the plastic ring, JUST loosen them, not nessasery to take them out.
THE real problem was REALLY a hard work to figure out to put the aperture system BACK in the body again, because of the oily blades that just fall out, i didn't know wich way the blades should go, and wich blades should go over OR under the other, when it was assemblet the right way in the aperture system.
Well, NOW i know it, as you can see in the last part, i lift up one aperture blade and let it go under the other, and so on with the others, all the way round with all the blades........
Good luck, i think you also can do it :-)
NOTE: Later i found out, that ther ewas an easy'er way of doing it, i will post it later...
