I got this in olive green bone, and it's pretty good! Then I got the GEC 38 Whittler which is a different level entirely - you didn't mention the only real difference which is that the GEC is a Splitback Whittler, while the Case isn't. Agree with you about the Whittler 'thing' - it's not a pattern I naturally feel drawn to, but it's still kinda cool and it's a distinctive carry.
Great looking seahorse! That Kentucky bluegrass bone is a great color! I have a seahorse whittler in Buffalo Horn that is a really well put together knife too 👍🏼
I too would love to see more CV choice. A Wharncliffe Copperhead & Sway back Jack with some new cover options would be epic. Wharncliff anything w/CV is very rare.
I love this knife, especially for whittling... lovin' the 'bluegrass' but I had to settle for RR Whittler Seahorse instead. Good video, thanks for sharing buddy, Atb Gus 👍
I wish you would just stop reviewing Case knives. No matter how good of an example of Case you have you still feel the need to talk about how their quality control sucks. Just go ahead and pay 3-4X for a GEC on the secondary market or spend your free time and pay twice as much buying one from a dealer.
Would you like it if you had spent $70 on a case knife based on a couple people who got great examples and then your example is awful and you didnt even know that was a possibility?
No, but think about the Case knives you have been reviewing lately. You may point out good examples with maybe some minor flaws that some you admit are your own pet peeves and then talk about Case's usual poor quality control. I do enjoy your videos, just think lately it's been a thing for you and others to unfairly trash Case knives.
Beautiful Case!! Love those Seahorse Whittier's I have a few of those!!
Actually, Case does make the Seahorse Whittler in a Carbon Steel Damascus. I think they started that in 2016.
But the Damascus knives are so expensive
@@BakeryWizard13 True, but they are carbon steel.
That’s a little beauty of a knife!!
Good review, I was looking at getting one but SH only has these in the white bone. I really like the color of the scales on this one!!
It's nice you got a good one. Great video 👍
I have a few case knives and the Tony Bose collaboration ones seem to be the best fit and finish knives they make
I really want one of those bose and case stockmans that are like $500+ but they're so expensive

Superb ! I'm jealous 😂🙏👍
I like the idea of a single blade on that frame.

How's your Case quality overall? Good? Great? Terrible? Meh? Just trying to get a better idea.
95% of the time Case knives have at least some issues.
@@BakeryWizard13 I just got mine. The springs sit proud when the main blade is open. Did that happen to yours?
