Just tested positive for this test which seems to confirm IBM, although I also have the Sjogren's antibody. Lab was Quest Diagnostics Nichols Institute in San Juan Capistrano, California. Previous diagnoses have included "Inflammatory muscle disease." "Sjogren's syndrome with myopathy." "Polymyositis." Disappointing response to several immunoglobulin infusions. Better response to IV rituximab.

Howdy.. New guy here. The more I search the more I find things that map to my symptoms. Post Second Covid (Omicron), I developed a really bad left leg cramp. Fast forward close to a year and I have a 1:1 map to most of the symptoms for leg and hands that sIBM lists. We had an infection in June and got back on Type2 meds and Statins. But 90 days into that my leg symptoms were worse and my CK climbed. We dropped the Statin, but the problem kept. My CK and PSA are high. I requested the HMG test, thinking statin induced, but now today seeing the sIBM symptom list, I have to wonder. What is the relation to this and Covid?

I have these antibodies also, post covid two years. One day I woke with what I thought was a should I slept on the wrong way but persisted & got worse into both arms. It’s very hard to find answers. You’re the first I came across reporting the same.

What is a CN1A antibody? I've had a positive muscle biopsy, and just about all tests to dx IBM.
