If you combine the best features of both trikes you get a 2024 Max foot mf 30 trike, the one I bought last month. The features include 750 watt rear mounted motor, 22 mph, rear axle differential, fat tires, triple disc brakes, front suspension, front and rear cargo baskets. 7 speed Shimano gears. 20 ah UL listed battery. No one has reviewed this 2024 model yet. Only the older front hub drive model has reviews. See if you can get one to demo. Thanks for your channel, it has helped me see what's out there.
Thanks for sharing. I have reached out to Maxfoot in the past and they never responded. Perhaps if a couple of views were to contact them and make the suggestion... (?) 🙂
Thanks so much for this comparison it really helped me decide which model to get! Plus I was able to get the extra $200 off with your code, which enabled me to get some accessories too! Can’t wait to get my foldable TK1!😊
Great review! Question, I really like the TK1 foldable, but want to get exercise while riding. Will I get a better workout with the fat tire since it has gears?
Yes, I would say you would. Although with both bikes you can leave it in PAS 1, then when you pedal and reach about 7 miles per hour the motor starts to cut out to maintain the speed. What you can do is pedal harder as if your trying to force the motor to ga faster. However with the gears, you can keep it in the higher gear and do the same thing and its going to be a little harder to pedal. Both scenarios have you working against the motor.
I'm a 54 year old grandma wit rheumatoid arthritis. I can't ride a regular bike anymore. Balance and pain issues. I got the Tk1 and I love it. I can pull my grandkids all around town no problem. However, I contacted the company to get a second battery just to have in the basket for emergency. They are not selling separately. Do you have any pull with mooncool? Maybe put a bug in their ear. Thanks
I purchased The Addmotor Citi e310 Mini. The low ground clearance is a design flaw. The pedals may scrape when crossing a speed bump potentially causing serious foot injury. I informed the managers and their response was raise the seat, or install a smaller crank. And I would bear the cost of the repair to the crank. Of course raising the seat has no effect on the pedal arc. They pretend to be concerned with customer satisfaction. They are not and make no effort to address the problem. Their return policy is expensive and prohibitive. They suggested I sell the trike locally. I buy many products from many diverse manufacturers and Addmotor stands out as a greedy, disinterested supplier. Go elsewhere, if you have any problems, you own them. Anyone want a trike at a discount? Addmotor Citi e310 mini is flawed by design.
Hello. Is there an option to install the backrest seat that is on the fat tire trike onto the TK1 Folding Trike if I purchased the backrest seat off the accessories section of the website? Or are they not interchangeable? Thanks in advance.
Saddles are universal, the difference is the seat post. I am sick or else I would go out and check to see that the size is. I believe they were the same diameter for both but not 100% positive. Here's a similar but more comfortable saddle you may want to consider. amzn.to/3Qhvphy
The stability feel is most likely due to placement of the motors, the rear wheel drive is turning two wheels rather than the front wheel drive pulling... Just a hunch. By the way outstanding review.
Great video, Richard. I've really been enjoying your channel. I recently picked up the Mooncool TK-1 folding trike and love it. Mine is a recent release and has the parking brakes both on the front and rear. I only use the front as it seems to be enough even on steep hills. Mine also has cruise control. You simply pedal and hold down the down button on the display until a small speedometer appears as an indicator on top. I love this feature and it allows me to use it in PAS 5 going 15.6 mph without having to keep up on the pedals. I manage to pedal in PAS 4 just fine and ride in mostly in PAS 3 & 4. I really prefer the hydraulic brakes and the rear mounted motor as I believe it gives the trike better control. I also like the better lights on the TK-1. I think the TK-1 is very well designed, well made, and I really enjoy riding it. I have well over 300 miles on mine in the short time I've owned it. I get lots of good comments from those who see it while I'm out on it. Thanks for your great comparisons of the two trikes. I thought you did a very thorough job of talking about the features.
Glad they are on pre-order at least Richard. They told me also that parking breaks would be on the new batch. They also said that the website would be updated to show that. As of today it is not on the website. I'll be waiting. Good review Richard...
Yeah, they are slowly coming back into stock. I have looked at the website, I'm just not seeing anything new. But, I didn't see a reference to the parking brake either so maybe its not updated yet.
Thank you for this comparison between the TK1 and the TK1 Fat 20. This trikes seem similar at first glance, but they have a lot of core differences. It would be useful to have you review the MC350 as well and then compare it to these trikes. Seeing all three MoonCool etrikes in one video would be great. I have a MC350 and it has turned out to be a great trike with nearly the same features as the TK Fat 20 at a significantly lower price.

DISCOUNTS:

I agree, it would be great if Mooncool offered the rear wheel motor with the seven speed. Please consider Mooncool!

Neighbor ordered one. About $900 more, I believe.
It was more money than some but had been on special $400 discount. I think I paid $2280 shipped to my door.

Another great video Richard, and I'm your first thumbs up.
LOL, thanks for the support!!
Once again a great review as always 👍🏻
Thanks again for all your support Quinton.
I bought the moon cool TK1 folding bike I can’t wait to get it
Do you have a link to the seat for the TK1?
Why yes I do. amzn.to/432yV4v

Did you have any ideas as to how to transport my Mooncool trike when I do camping in my camper? I pull the camper with a truck.
Richard try the Mustache e-bikes with the BOSCH motor and battery and let me know what you think.
I wish it were that easy. I can't purchase all of them and most of these companies don't want to send a bike out for review. I would if I could.
parking brake fix, bungie cord from front basket to brake caliper
If you lend a front wheel from tk1 fat 20, and review tk1 AWD will be great idea ❕
Ah, If only I had the time, that would be fun.
Hello, So, Neither trike has a reverse function ? Thank you
No. Very few trikes have it. Rad Power trike and the Sixthreezero Easy Transit has a reverse.
I thought the fat boy trike is foldable. Good features but can't load to my SUV. Thinking of the tk1 instead
Omg cool you did this too. Haha❤

They have batteries listed. www.mooncool.com/collections/battery-1

Mustache is designed in France
TK1 is much better. It has rear motor.
I like the look of the blue one but I don’t like the front wheel drive. Nice comparison, excellent Video

Hello EBR, have you ever evaluated a 2023 0r 2024 Pedego Avenue ?
No, I have not had access to a Pedego.

Hi. I received the TK1 yesterday. I cannot get the frame latch locked. I am trying everything. Any suggestions??
Apart from the handlebars I don’t ever fold my folding bike, I do find that being able to lower the handlebars out of the way is really convenient.
Glad they are on pre-order at least Richard.

Locking brake levers can be found online to retrofit if needed.

Great idea! Infact, Mooncool is sending the MC350 next week so I'll be getting some videos out with it also.
Good comparison of two great trikes
Thank you sir!
