The "And you can trust me, cause' i don't care enough about you to lie" it's one of the best lines i ever hear
Not gonna lie, I started using that one.
I don't care enough to tell the truth either
Jen Barkley is easily one of my favourite recurring characters
I like the basic advice she gave her, to not just settle for mayor.
Chris Traeger being the opposition to Leslie about her relationship with Ben was a good move. Anyone else would've had her fired, without thinking.
Rob Lowe also just nails that character. There are moments in that arc when he needs to be serious, and he just nails it. The viewer never questions whether he loves Leslie and Ben more than he loves his position. He loves them equally and his actions reflect that. I've seen so many other shows that have characters act in irrational ways when their consideration of two moral principles are challenged, but this show walked that line really well here.
@@maryannclementiii-uw5pkI remember thinking “what a great character!” during this particular time in the series. You can tell he’s not malicious, he just has integrity.
“F**k, A library?!” 😂
Love Bobby complimenting Leslie on her awesome closing statement. He’d be a terrible politician but such a nice guy
Bobby in general just never was a bad guy. Exceedingly incompetent and unqualified, but a good heart.
@@TetraDax yeah Bobby honestly seemed like he would have fit into the department
"And you can trust me...because I don't care enough about you to lie." - 🤣🤣🤣
One of the best lines of the entire series. God, I love me some Jen Barkley.
Honestly, I've used that line myself a few times now. It works out pretty similarly to the show.
“Get on your feet!” 👏🏼🎶
I will never be able to hear that song again without cracking up 😂
I heard it in the grocery store once and giggled to myself in the aisle for the whole song
I will always adore that moment at 18:12 where Leslie hears the results of the recount. Just a still shot on Amy Poehler's face as she reacts to the news, hanging her head when she thinks it's a loss, then just a smile when she hears she did it. And then she starts shaking her head as it sinks in, and she recognizes Ann's trickery. It's a masterful directing choice, god this show was amazing. That moment alone was its second peak, and then it just kept having so many more.
a scene that never fails to make me tear up
Brings me to tears each time
One of the best tv comedies ever produced. I don’t know what the light bulb moment was in season 2 but the writers deserve so much credit for changing Leslie’s character and adding Ben and Chris. Thank god they got rid of Mark!
They didn't intend to get rid of Mark, but sometimes real life writes the plot
I liked Brendanawicz
Parks and Rec ages like a fine wine
except the Biden cameo lol
@@beefbaby161how does that age poorly? He was vice President at the time, and a vice president is like a celebrity to Leslie. Now with him having been President, that would only make him even more of a celebrity to her.
Cause Biden aged like milk not wine @@atable2505
@beefbaby161 lol why? Because you don't like him? Boohoo
If just a couple people per city government were like her in real life you know our country would be so different…
I'm going to say something weirdly both optimistic and pessimistic at the same time. There are far more Leslie knopes than people know about, yet we all know that those people are sued, investigated, defamed and ultimately.... Give up. While Leslie's indomitable will is magnetic and infectious on screen, as someone embodies the phrase "inside of every cynic, there's a disappointed idealist", I know more than most that the system is crushing regular people in far more ways than the average person could ever discover, and I know that I could easily double that number if I cared enough to dig deeper. And that's not even mentioning the things above my pay grade, the ways people are being screwed that I couldn't even know of. We need more than a few Leslie knopes, someone willing to guide a flawed system to being a little less flawed, we need a lot of people willing to build an entirely different system.
@@ethanstump totally with you. Very sad system!
calling this "failing upwards" is outrageous seeing as Leslie is the hardest working person in the world and she did not fail, she absolutely succeeded in everything she ever put her mind to
And about a dozen of the things she only put half her mind to.
Yeah I think it’s clickbait because Leslie is specifically the opposite of that trope lol. The whole point of her character is that she’s so tenacious AND capable that she manages to climb the political ladder with genuine intentions, which is nigh on impossible
No, its correct, because in the process, she had an innumerable amount of collective failures from PR blunders to logistical oversights. The end result often worked out in her favor. Primarily because the protagonist normally has a haply ending, but also because there is a level of truth to failing upward in government, especially if you know anything about the history of American government and the nature of bureaucracies.
I love Ben just popping up in back after Leslie called him a brilliant, sexy little hummingbird.😂
Also, I can feel sympathy frustration for Leslie during that debate with all the candidates.😓
'I've seen the first 90 seconds ,its thrilling'😂😂😂😂 The writers outdid themselves.😂😂😂
I work for the National Park Service and the scene culminating to 41:00 always gets me right in the feels
Thank you for creating and uploading this. Even though Leslie is a fictional character, she always motivates me not to give up on my dreams. Best sitcom ever. ❤
The Office is better
@@FATHOLLYWOODB123
Maybe if you like Steve Carell
Hello from England. They're both very good but both went on too long. Original office nailed it with 2 short seasons and a Christmas special.
The motivation is so underhand you don't even realize it. It's so beautiful
They called Paul Rudd and said we want you to just be you.
leslie makes me want to work in government. what an incredible character
For a moment I thought it said "falling upward", which is also true of certain politicians who had a guest appearance on this very show.
The uuhhhhhh, the um, uhhh, yknow uhhhhh
@@felixstorey8023ohh you know the thing.
@@stacyswiss307Chocolate chocolate chip
If he’s still Prez in 2025 that’ll suck.
better than trump
Who let Amy Poehler be so funny. She is too powerful for this world.
50 minutes of Knope hell yeah
I didn’t realize I watched 50 minutes. Wow.
There was a minute or two of Lester Knup too
"Now if I wanna start my day with a triple decker breakfast pancake pizza, I have to go to the one 10 minutes away from my house which makes me 20 minutes late for work. I work at home."
"Have you ever considered...not eating that for breakfast?"
*I'LL NEVER. CONSIDER THAT* 🤬
I love Leslie Knope!!! She never gives up, she gives the best gift, and her relentless positivity is infectious.
Leslie reaction to recount result made me emotional. What an actor.
14:30 ish . . . Bobby Newport threatens that Sweetum's will get moved to Mexico.
The closing statements follow, Leslie goes to Ben.
I love this little hinge moment.
She doesn't get a pep talk from Ron or Ben or anyone.
She knows that she can do it.
She tells him that she can do it.
She does it.
I worked for a city councilwoman in one of the largest cities in America and it’s maybe 1% of this scale, money, and staff lol Leslie Knope’s campaign looks more like a large congressional campaign
I love this woman.
We all do
This show is the reason I joined local government. It really is hard and thankless, and I am still very very new, but I am still glad I did it.
Leslie Knope is the most inspiring fictional character of all time
I assumed this compilation was years old, but was confused and happy to see it’s 11 hours old
this is about to become my comfort video for all of eternity
35:00 Loved those Katryn Han's lines
36:05 love Kathryn Hahn and how she was the one who told Leslie to get a better job and stop limiting herself, also what’s so funny when she did WandaVision she plays similar in Previously On and in fact she’s the only person in the MCU who wanted to help Wanda move on from all her tragedies and become a more powerful person.
in love with your insight on her
"I don't care enough about you to lie" actually goes really hard
32:35 Leslie trying to sing got me everytime, it is like a different version of our starship is in trouble.😂
"Do you wanna go back to saying yay?"
She looked soooo good in this show.
"God, a fkn library?" had me dying
Ben and Leslie are goals!!!
This is LITERALLY the best notification EVER
"I'll give you Joe Bidens home phone number."
"...now hang on..."
I like how Brandy Maxxx and Leslie are so similar.
"...the sun I rising over a sea of love and waffles and possibility..."
❤❤❤
Every therapist needs to put this in his repertoire. 😊❤
Perd Hapley is basically Booger McFarland and I *never noticed*
omg did this just make me cry? 🥲
Whyd I start crying when Ann told Leslie she won city council
this is such a good cut 👏👏👏
I was just letting this on a background and then I heard Bob Belcher 💖
I cried so much watching this. I love Leslie❤
i didn’t know bob from bobs burger was a lawyer @ 3:45
And most importantly Coach McGuirk!
My gosh I love this woman
How does taking risks make me feel 😅😂🤣
"I'm tingly all over, I'm flush. I'm relaxed and fulfilled. I have waves of pleasure coursing through me.
I wish there was something physical that could make me feel this way."
-Leslie's sense of accomplishment after finally filling in the hole in the vacant lot.
Third of the way into the video and it started raining for some reason. Such audacity. Probably a sign for me to just binge the show and not spoil anything.
This is the most american thing that i have ever seen.
Leslie laughing as her dream was nuked was funny and relatable.
28:46 you'd think Leslie would learn how to gaslight like the recall group
Lester Knopf forever!
Gerry and the group of nuns 😂😂😂😂
”smoothly handled lester”
This has to be an early Christmas present
Can you imagine having someone like Bobby Newport as president? That would be crazy 🤣🤪
I hate mondays.
I haven’t seen that shirt since no earlier than 1989. 😂
It’s perfect that Leslie got a man who also has experience in & interest for political office.
If I had to criticize the show, it would be that there's SO many moments where Pawnee seems like a horrible town filled with horrible people, and it's difficult to understand why Leslie loves it so much.
If it weren't for like 10 good people, Pawnee would have no redeeming qualities.
She likes fixing problems, and Pawnee has a lot of problems
3:44 AYO IS THAT MY MAN BOB FROM BOBS BURGERS?!?!?
Oh my god this is real! I just assumed you were lying.
😂
Jen Barkley is the best character on this show!
FIGHT ME BOUT IT!
I ugly cried at least 4 times
2:01 As you wiiiiiisssshhh
Lester Knopf lol
Nelk is back
please, can you make a short video of Ann reacting to the s.valentine fragrance present??? I lovd that scene!!!!
Democratic governor of Indiana would be a huge deal in reality. The national party would want her to run for president.
True
@@interycreeper5108 Leslie would finally be a candidate I could believe in
I recently moved to Chicago and I haven’t found a single good breakfast place so she’s right about that. Unfortunately, I also haven’t seen Michelle Obama
I have been to Indiana Dunes National Park! (Which I think was just a National Lakeshore at the time of that episode though those are still units of the national park system and thus administered by the National Park Service). I haven’t been to Pullman National Historical Park yet but I need to get my stamp!
Parks and Rec Speedrun
27:44 Is that one of the question marks that April ran off with to put on stop signs?
Another one at 30:18
The last time i watched the series again I told myself it's enough, three times is enough, too many things to watch, sooo videos like this made me realize I'm a liar. I can't not watch it again. For the last time.
I'm sorry but when Ben Wyatt said "we'll deal with the fallout tomorrow" (14:23) as intensely as he did...I just know Leslie's ovaries were secretly exploding lmao!
April laughing while leslie falls from the pit
I resent and reject title as she didn't fail. She was incredible and with absurd opposition usually.
Would the parks and rec employees be allowed to just campaign for their director in a run for local office?
am I the only person that wants a IRL Sweetums and PonchBurger?
Even as the bad guy Pull Rudd cant be a bad guy lol
39:09
Miss you Harris
Absolutely miss Harris Wittles!!! RIP 💜
Leslie is the pinnacle of loves her job but is completely incompetent at it
Stoner sneaks in “Legalize Weed!”
0:07-10:53-12:09-
Interview at the parks department
11:08 Bobby Newport: Miss Lope or just Nesnie?
45:25 Wait, did Parks and Rec predict the future?
We will see very soon
If baby daffy was in this he would enjoy Leslie’s rage at all the turf wars she gets into
The office 2.0 🤣🤣🤣😂😂
The better office
The only thing that should be restricted for the common good is a politician's ability to make laws.
*Ron Swanson joined the thread*
Corinthian leather just like the Chrysler Cordoba. 🚗🚘
Yea, she finally had kids. She is sucessful
Biden showing up in the 2025 scene kind of implies not only did he win the 2024 presidency, but he lived to tell the tale.
Ron has got it all wrong, government isn’t the problem. It is people.
And the government is run by horrible people.
Yeah. Exactly… People are 100% incapable of possessing that kind of authority without becoming corrupt.
Which makes government (as it currently exists), into essentially an organized group of criminals who get to live above the law. A new aristocracy basically.
Big government is (by its very nature), incompatible with humanity.
Just do a little digging into say, “public works” projects around where you live.
It’s all stuff like $400,000 in tax payers money to paint a single cross walk, when in REALITY, painting the crosswalk cost like $2,000, and the local legislature pocketed the rest.
Literally EVERY institution that has ever existed eventually became corrupt. That’s the human condition.
And he knows that, that's why he hires the people he hires. He even says it multiple times in the show.
lol Leslie meeting Michelle Obama is amazing
I wander if Leaslie nope went to elations island too??
Leslie was reserved when she met Michelle Obama.
