Yes not even close on the 3 point turns yet - but maybe one day! We went out in the snow for the first time today and I told my mom I would pull her behind me on skis!
Congratulations Kelsey!!! I’m disabled and have been looking into these too! I can walk but i just can’t go too far without having problems from my back. Fortunately as a car and truck enthusiast, I’m really glad I can still drive! But I really miss being a Certified Master Automotive Technician and working on cars. Looking forward to seeing all the things you’ll be able to do again!
Hello Kelsey, I did the paved trails at Elbow Falls last year and frequently go to the Bragg Creek trails with a little foldable scooter that is really meant for light duty pavement trails. I have seen this and was thinking about it as using my scooter on the trails is more than sketchy! If you are ever on the trails or live close to Calgary I would love to see it as it will help me make a decision. I try not to let my MS get in my way and this would sure help let me go hiking with my girlfriend! Thanks so much!
Thanks! Its a learning process and we all make mistakes with shifting our language sometimes but I think the important thing it noticing and making an effort to correct yourself =)
This is so cool! :) How is the suspension? I wonder going on a trail with that would cause me neck pain, or whether it'd be okay. It looks like the weight is distributed over a fairly large area!
Its actually fantastic! Obviously you would need to be more careful taking it on really rough and uneven terrain as even with the suspension you'll still get tossed around a bit but i''ve found it great. I find my regular powerchair causes me a lot of issues even just on paved trails it often causes backpain and some subluxations (thanks EDS) but this chair hasn't caused any of those issues yet even with me being a bit extreme with it at times.
I myself have Primary Progressive MS and have been looking at this device. Not that you have had it for a while what is your opinion on longevity? Thanks and also what is your condition if you don't mind sharing ?
I’ve been Looking at the ‘Terrainhopper’ ..Curious as to the Cost of your Vehicle??? And Where did you get it ??? Website of where you got it ?? Thanks , Helicopter Crash Survivor ..Persia ‘ 79 🇺🇸⚓️☠️🐾☕️💀👽🇨🇮
I haven't heard of that one! I will give it a look! My chair was around $5000 US and is made in Utah by Utah Tricks. They can be ordered from notawheelchair.com/ as they are all made to order!
Utah Trikes partnered with the creators of The Rig, Zack and Cambry Nelson, so they could manufacture them for a larger group of people. The Chronic Explorer gave the link to the site. I would recommend checking out Zack and Cambry’s channel, “Jerry Rig Everything”. They show the process of creating The Rig and it has a great reason behind the build. 🙃 So sorry about your helicopter accident. 🥺
terrainhopper is nice but it's the cost of more than a vehicle like 18,000 compared to a fraction of that with the rig i guess it's really down to what you can afford.
Hello , This is Nash Gutierrez, I text y’all three weeks ago that I was interested in buying one of these bikes for my daughter who has CP and that I was working with a park ranger because they’re putting new paths at a mountain that’s nearby and our ABC disability group is helping to get other special-needs people out there and also wondering if you had loaners working with a park ranger.
Lots of disabled people care actually! Handicap is a pretty outdated and offensive term so its best if we try to shift to using terms that are more current and embraced by the community - in this case accessible parking or disabled parking does the trick!
Accessible parking is offensive to me so I respectfully request that you stop using that terminology. Accessible means it is accessible to everyone. As for me, I am handicapped so please quit offending me with this woke bs.
Personal mobility devices designed to get people outdoors and in the middle of nature is my favorite technology.
Mom needs a mountain e-bike to help her keep up! I wish I could afford one of these!
I love Mom! The support, encouragement and love shines bright.
Shes the best! Always there to cheer me on!
I want one! Because it's hard being crippled & going outdoors!
This is such an amazing offroad chair, I should consider getting one too.
Thanks for the amazing vlog !
She is fearless. Good for you.
Awww! Now we need something for mom too! You’re too fast now! Haha aaaand definitely not a 3point turn. Will be waiting for your next adventures!!

Amazing! My favourite part was the 3 point turn. 😇
LOL. This is why you always got to be the driver on our road trips home.
Important to wear safety gear, Helmet, Gloves, and Safety Shoes. ? ? ? And even Googles if there is branches or insects etc.
super wholesome, great content.

@@TheChronicExplorer 💯 true. The effort means more than anything. Great video. Keep it up
Just saw your channel, congratulations!!
nice. maybe i missed something but why couldn’t you get to the river without the rig?
This is beautiful and amazing
This is awesome!
I want one 😯😁
Great job. This rig needs suspensions.

What's the cost ?
@@randybeeman7823$1 million dollars, it may as well be because I can’t afford it😢
Punishing 3 point turn haha 😂
The turning radius is not amazing - but also neither are my "3point" turn skills haha

Здравствуйте! Всё у вас получится! Главное приноровиться!
I’ll just keep using the word handicapped because I’m not soft and easily offended
.qual valor
I’m disabled and I’m also handicapped! Who cares this much about terms? I don’t think it’s offensive, but I’m not a snowflake❄️😊
She doesn’t have a very good turning radius
Literally no one cares about saying “handicap” or accessible.
