With fresh break-up wounds from my last EP Excited, I resorted to the thing I always did whenever going through tough times, writing. After the previous ending ("Dreaming"), I embark on a reflective journey of self-discovery to learn more about myself!
"I wanna feel something.

Since We're Fools is my most intimate release yet! Paying homage to the 2000("Your Broken Heart") and 70's R&B/City Pop ("Anesthesia"), I use the contrast between past and present to reminisce love's old fashion values in the modern day. With countless options and indecision being evermore common, my lulling ballads are endlessly seeking love's affirmation-with swoo ("Our Song") and the opening of the volume ("My Eyes"). "Do you feel the same?" is the constant theme that carries the story forward. In the closing moments of the EP, after having more thought to go through the motions, I realize that nowadays "asking for forever is too much", and resolve on gratitude and living for the present ("Better with U").
