So let me get this straight... If you use the non controller method you are limited to doing a 'dronie' of 10 meters, but if you use a controller and the DJI fly app with Neo, you can use the 'dronie' selection and set the distance to much, much more, just like on a Mini 4 pro or Mavic?
One tip activating a new Neo via an iPhone: If the WiFi gets stuck, and you have exhausted all the troubleshooting offered by DJI and the forums, cycle power of your iPhone. It did the trick for me. 😊
Great video, one thing I can't seem to do is change the language of the Android Fly app. It's super annoying to have it in Dutch (The Netherlands) since the translations are terrible. Would be wonderful to change it to English and in earlier tutorials it seemed possible in the past but not any longer?
Just got one of these myself and had a blast trying out some of these features. This video is a great tutorial and gave me some more insight on the rest of the app and features I hadn't tried yet, like the Custom mode as well as the headset pairing.

Would like DJI to add "Camera" with timed shots, say 5 Sec & 10 Sec intervals to All the NEO preset shooting modes. At present think only the "Circle" mode offers timed photos. Only offering the "Video" Camera Mode is a bit limiting

I was finally able to set it up thru my phone --- you have to have internet connection so you can authorize it and update ect. One problem I had was i was using a vpn on my phone and had to turn that off to connect it. When the green lights are solid it is fully charged. Also power on the drone push the button for 3 seconds and then release button and hold in until the unit comes on.

Great video. Do you know if they have any plans to offer a larger battery? There's quite a bit of headroom under the 250g weight Iimit and a bit more bulk should help it fly more steady in stronger breezes. A few more minutes of flight time would be beneficial.
Hi. Which custom settings applies when you use the neo without remote specifically using the preset flight modes? I believe sharpness and noise reduction adjustments doesn't apply on Flight modes without remote.
Also, imagine u have set the drone to follow mode, what if there is a bunch of people around you, would it follow you or go after someone getting confused? I noticed this on my drone when flying at home where it went after a diff person ;) is this a glitch or ??

At 17:58 where u set the drone to Dronie mode n it about to hit the tree u pressed stop button on the mobile , in that state, do u go to the drone n put ur palm to get it landed or is there a way to get the drone back to its original place of fly?
I've tried downloading the dji fly app on two different android phones I own both, phones say says Unsafe app blocked, even tho I've altered the settings to except app from this source.
Newbie question: can i buy this NEO and fly it straight out of the box! or would i have to have a smartphone to initially set it up? i am thinking of getting one for my grandfather who does not own a smartphone.
You need a smartphone to activate it. You could just activate it for him, don't really need a phone after that, but it would be good to have for situations where it bumps into something and is inaccessible via hand etc.
Hey, based on experience with DJI Mini 3 Pro, you need to turn off the phones mobile radio to get the quick transfer to work. I put my iPhone in airplane mode, and turn on wifi and bluetooth.
When i connect to my phone (with or without RC) I'm getting 6.55min of flight time. Its at 4k30p setting. Is it the best i can get or am i doing something wrong. I haven't changed any setting since I bought it.
Im having a tough time trying to transfer my files to my iPhone. I recently updated to the latest iOS and I updated the NEO. It keeps failing to transfer, any recommendations?
Ok, via WiFi it is quite slow and buggy. Connect a cable to the drone on one end, and to your notebook on the other end. On your notebook an external storage device pops up. It’s your drone’s internal memory. Drag the internal files to the storage location of your notebook, done superfast. Depending on your phone, the same may hold true for non iPhones.

Also, there is no switch on my Fly app to shut off charging phone when connected? Also, your list of options to select for the fn button is way longer than what I am seeing on mine? I am using the same remote that you with a Samsung Galaxy phone. What am I missing or doing wrong?🤔
Why would you risk removing the propeller screws while the drone is placed on a deck with spacing between the boards where the screw could fall thru the crack?

I flew the DJI neo in Goa, India & the drone is so good! Flew it at 120m above sea level & got incredible footage! Loving this drone!
Did the same at eden beach, pondicherry and it works well, bought it from dubai at 27k
This little buddy is perfect for begginers like me and my son,we only want it for selfie modes.

Yes
Its little leggy also depending on how much interference you phone getting. But its works fine in smaller area.
Controlling with the phone uses simple Wi-Fi. Using a compatible controller, the drone communicates via ocusync 4. Big difference in range limits.

I don't unfortunately, I suspect they'll reserve a larger battery and a few extra features for a 'Pro' version.

I would try making sure the firmware is fully up to date!

It can’t as it does not have the extra stereo cameras like the mini 4 Pro.

It's a table, not a deck. There is also no gaps between the fake boards. All good!
