*UPDATE* I rode the Rubicon HARD for a few months and through weekly power washing water eventually worked it’s way underneath and started peeling. That being said if you don’t plan on abusing your machine I feel like this would last for years. Also just be careful with the pressure washer and you should be fine. Cheers!
I REALLY enjoyed this video! From the music to the pacing and to the sheer satisfaction of watching the process.... It was fun to watch, but in an engaging AND meditative way! I haven't had this much chill fun with youtube content in a long while. The result looks amazing, too! 10/10, would watch you vinyl again.
Thanks for the demo looks good. Not that it should matter but I was relieved to see you weren't putting polka dots on the edges. Lol If someone would have done it on my 25-year-old quad when it was new, it wouldn't look as old and abused except for where the factory stickers had peeled off. Wrapping the fenders is the last step from a frame up restoration. It's moving from farm work too traveling dirt roads. Set up for total luxury not hardcore Wheeling. Despite my old age I still use the 200x I purchased new in 83 for the real extreme. The 200x three wheeler has logged nearly 70,000 Mi on the trails Utah, Colorado and almost every Trail in Arizona. Much has since it's been fenced off. 😒 It's a shame people rode the machines beyond their personal capabilities they were the ultimate. When Honda offered me money back for mine I sent letter back saying any accidents were my fault. If one keeps that mindset they'll stay much safer. Good Wheeling. ✌️🤠🏞️🐂
Heat Gun & Done! I apply dry also, as I find that it takes forever to squeegee that soap out and it adheres way better for long term ... harder, but worth it.
Hi Tanner and Alexis, I’ve been a big fan of your channel for quite a while. As a returning rider, you and Woodsman’s commentary on the subject were a very quick decision tree for buying a Honda CRF 250 L and sticking with it! Congratulations! You two are growing and improving with really high quality content. I like your excellent editing, gentle and varied use of background music, mix of conversation, adventure riding, builds, repairs, maintenance, etc. and even your short varied outros. Wonderful! I think a little bit of lifestyle inclusion would be very beneficial as well. Seeing your dogs was great! You and Alexis are great, so don’t be too shy. I like that you’re driven by thrift and fun and not shy about saying it. It’s very authentic. I can picture you wrap your Lamborghini someday! Best wishes with your channel, life and with your knee repair. Be careful, do everything they tell you, do your physical therapy and exercises and you’ll heal well. After more than 55 years of multi-sporting around skateboarding, BMX, mountain biking, triathlons, adventure racing, snowboarding, ice climbing and motorcycling, etc, I just had one of my best days on the motorcycle just eight weeks after my second hip replacement surgery. No kidding, for real! Keep on trucking, stay safe and have fun! Best Wishes, Dennis
Just bought a brand new 21 foreman 520 thinking about camo wrapping plastics get scratches quit just trying to keep it nice little longer nice rubicon and keep videos coming watch on lunch break
Question regarding durability of wrap material, I purchased a used side by side utility vehicle that has a lot of scratches. I was thinking of wrapping it to make it look nicer but wondered how wrap material would hold up to dirt and mud and maybe brush rubbing across it on the trails?
Did you happen to try removing the factory warning decals? I've read so many conflicting methods on removing them and the adhesive without damaging the plastic. WD40. Gas. Goo Gone. Alcohol. But one person says one works and the next persons says that same method doesn't work lol
Did he change his channel name ? I haven’t checked on you since you bought the 2020 CRF 450 that you hate it taken through the woods . But good stuff man I’m stillll gromin with grom garage!!
Your link to amazon for the 3M 8-mil Scotchguard film: amzon says the film is not available (Nov 2021) and they don't know when/if it will be. Bummer. Ceramic wax?
Looks good if you ever decided to do the whole thing I would take the plastics off watching your video I’m a do the front of my truck The hood the front fenders and the front of it im a take it to my brothers shop and have one of the guys that is but he also worked in a body shop for 15 years so he’s fast at taking all that stuff apart And im a do my UTV I think you will be fine because you keep it in the garage 👍👍👍👍

Did you end up taking it off? What's it look like now?
I think if you made the wrap go under and around the fender it would last way longer and not just end it on the surface if you know what I mean

I just purchased a new King Quad and had this idea. I'm glad you did a video on this, and I really like the way yours turned out.
