I bought Chrome based on this review and it immediately reminded me of Davidoff Cool Water from 1988 It smells like most "Ocean" or "Sea Breeze" body wash or laundry detergent. Cool clean scent with a universal appeal but nothing special that you'd surely recognize from somewhere.

I must say though it does smell the best on him, so I gave up buying new ones for him to try...

Honestly I love the chrome line if I had to choose between my chrome and aventus and aventus cologne I might just sell off the aventus and keep the chrome. I just love the metallicness. I don’t think aventus smells like cleaner tbh maybe SLIGHTLY but its nothing mind blowing.
Fragrances are just like wine, it’s never just about the price. Sure, some things get better, if you sent more, but you don’t need to pay 300$+ on a fragrance. Parfums are just the icing on the cake, if you have a bad hairstyle or worn-out clothing, the best fragrance won’t help.

My boyfriend wears this and it smells so lovely. Like a quality white solid soap. Because I actually own a soap that coincidentally smells of the Chrome, it feels like having my bf near me in my bath. So basically it smells like a musky fresh white soap to me. Clean and light with a touch of manliness. It made me interested to try the female version. I am desperate to find a soapy perfume.
I smelt Chrome in a drugstore, it was too soapy and had a cheap smell to me, to the point that testing Armani stronger with you was like smelling a high-end fragrance. Scandinavian ladies are special!
People can really be opposites when it comes to fresh/clean vs warm/sweet. I find myself gravitating to the fresh/clean fragrances much more than the warm/ sweet ones (like the stronger with you line).
