10 minutes of poor Shida being unsure whether to laugh or gasp in shock is about how I expected this to go. She even nailed the RJ cosplay down to the cheery attitude and "Hey!".
I somehow forgot to mention how good her English is now! She sounds very fluent even if she has to pause for a moment to think.

It took about 3 minutes, but once Shida got comfortable, this really gets going.

Aside from being one of the top women wrestlers in the world, Hikaru Shida is one of the most iconic, beautiful, and just flat out amazing women in sports. Her talents are immeasurable! Plus she's so cute too!
I am very glad to see Hikaru Shida on Hey EW the chemistry between Hikaru and RJ was spot on Shida was very engaged in this interview and her English is getting really better also Hikaru's Singing Voice is amazing.

If you are ever in TOKYO. I highly recommend you go see Shida’s stage shows! They are incredible! MAKAI is my favorite! She also has her own theater company and performs her own plays. She is incredibly sweet. Got to spend a bit of time talking with her.

I don't understand why people keep saying that Shida's English has improved so much. Her English has ALWAYS been this good, ever since she first started in AEW. She just never gets any opportunities to do promos, which is a damn travesty.

Normally japanese wrestler are struggle to speak in english and having interview even already so many years stay in USA. We have to listen carefully to understand what they trying to say . but Hikaru shida did great. Her english really good.

This was my first time watching this show and it was because of hearing Hikaru Shida was on this episode.
This was absolutely hilarious. RJ's energy overwhelmed her in the best way. All his quips and she was just like "what?" 😆 Lol but loved when he gave her the time with her answers. Surprised he didn't ask about the pole-dancing videos, but glad he asked her about her record title reign and her plans for championship reign 2
On the last part, I was expecting Hikaru to smack him with the kendo stick on purpose, but her hitting him by accident was even better, made the segment just perfect
