Awesome tank! I'm sure the froggy loves it in there! He is looking a little bit skinny tho, make sure you are feeding frequently enough and using proper supplementation :)
Thanks! any recs? I feed daily with fruit flies (usually 30-40) and springtails every week or so. I supplement with dendrocare powder on the fruit flies, but I’ve noticed he doesn’t always eat them. I often find some the next day. I was thinking of switching to just springtails. Not sure what else to do but a couple people have mentioned he looks skinny now so I’m getting worried. Do you think it’s worth switching the supplement powder?
@williamhoganson4995 calcium is a must! Dendrocare does not provide calcium, so get repashy calcium plus or something better like ranarium. Springtails will make him fatten quicker, so you can use those more often until he puts on more weight, but they should not be a staple feeder because they can't be dusted with calcium.
Do you have a UVB light for the dart frog? I have read that you dont need one but others say its beneficial. So I’m not sure what to do… amazing vivarium though!
Hi! Thanks for your question! I do not have a UVB on him. I think using UVB for dart frogs is rare. Also to keep the humidity in people use glass tops a lot (I do too) and glass filters out UVB so it would be difficult to use UVB in a dart frog enclosure. I think if you dust your frogs food with vitamin powder they will be happy and healthy!
@@william4995-e8d thanks for the quick reply! This helps a lot man, really. Also, I’m gathering everything to build a vivarium like the smaller one you did outdoors. I keep refering back to that video for many questions/ideas. Thanks again!
You do a great job on your videos!!
we love froggoooo
