For me
I’m gonna defend AB/AP with my heart coz I personally think it’s the best album, I mean Novocaine and Twin Skeletons are golden
Fair! I mean I defend Mania with my whole chest lol
@@EternallyUncoolTrevor very valid 💯

6. Take This to Your Grave

Cork Tree is top tier. Cannot deny its impact on pop-punk/emo. But I will still defend Mania, it has bangers 😂
Fall Out Boy Albums Ranked:
1. Folie à Deux (2008)
2. Infinity on High (2007)
3. American Beauty/American Psycho (2015)
4. From Under the Cork Tree (2005)
5. Evening Out with Your Girlfriend (2003)

10. Mania (2018)
I was thinking about this a month or two after SMFS came out. Currently, my favorite albums are Save Rock and Roll and Folie à Duex with the others all kinda ranking the same, however, I had SMFS on repeat at that point. Though it doesn't beat Folie, I still don't know if it's in my top three or if it's because it's "new." I felt the same way when MANIA came out and though I'm also an apologist for that album, it gets replied the same amount as any others.
I do love seeing more love for TTYG I just wish Evening Out With Your Girlfriend got more love because despite what the band may tell you IT IS GOOD Honorable Mention and Moving Pictures are fantastic songs
I'm not big on Evening Out With Your Girlfriend, but I'm so glad Calm Before The Storm (top 5 favorite material for me) got a second chance on TTTYG and they even gave Growing Up a facelift.
But Honorable Mention and Parker Lewis Can't Lose are definitely some of the other good songs from that album that I like. Like, it's still surprisingly good for what it is.
I know it's an unpopular opinion in the fanbase, but Evening Out With Your Girlfriend is probably my second favorite after TTTYG
1)Folie a Deux
2)Infinity on High
3)So Much for Stardust
4)Take This to Your Grave
5)From Under the Cork Tree
6)Save Rock and Roll
7)AB/AP
8)M A N I A
The ones lower are less that I don't like them. There's not a single song I don't like from the boys, I just would rather listen to the ones above it more. Favorite songs are Headfirst Slide and Fake Out. I will never skip them if they come on, and will evil eye anyone in the car who does XD
Fair! There’s at least ONE good song on ABAP and I will defend Mania with my whole chest haha
My personals:
Folie á Deux
M A N I A
From Under the Cork Tree
Save Rock and Roll
Infinity On High
American Beauty/American Psycho
Take This to Your Grave
Honestly, M A N I A, Cork Tree, SRAR, and Infinity are all interchangeable. They're all #2s.
I forgot So Much (for) Stardust, which sits eight around M A N I A.
this was awesome, the rankings were great and i appreciate mania being above srar and abap! love the "drunk history of fall out boy) cameos, underrated youtuber :D
Thank you! Appreciate you!
1. folie
2. save rock and roll
3. mania
4. smfs
5. tttyg
6. ab/ap
7. ioh
8. futct
9. evening out
i think I've probably offended all of the pre-hiatus fans 😭
to be fair, not even FOB really like Evening Out all that much haha
My hot take is post hiatus, every release is better than the last. Pre hiatus my favorites shift around frequently, but if we only look at post, SMFS is better than mania which is better than AB/AP which is better than SRAR
oh, and SMFS is better than all of prehiatus also
I agree with half this take. I do think pre-hiatus albums were all progressively better, but I think post-hiatus ranking for me would be (from favorite to least favorite) SMFSD, SRAR, Mania, American Beauty.
1. Folie á Deux
2. So Much For Stardust
3. Mania
4. Infinity On High
5. From Under The Cork Tree
6. Take This To Your Grave
7. Save Rock and Roll
8. American Beauty / American Psycho
Yeah! Mania in the top 3, love to see it!
@@EternallyUncoolTrevorit deserves way more recognition!! It’s honestly one of my favorite albums of all time, it’s so good
@@sa1ntsss it’s a decent album. It got unnecessary hate for no reason
My ranking:
1. Infinity on High
2. Folie a Duex
3. From Under the Cork Tree
4. Take this to your Grave
5. So Much for Stardust
6. American Beauty/American Psycho
7. Save Rock and Roll
8. Mania
great video! my favourite album is actually futct, mainly because I relate to a lot of the lyrics but also because I love the composition of the album! I feel like its the perfect intermediate album between classic pop punk and refined pop rock
For sure! From Under The Cork Tree is probably one of the top 5 greatest pop punk albums of the 2000s era.
@@EternallyUncoolTrevor yeah i agree! if we’re talking objectively than I think that chroma by cartel is probably the best mid 2000s pop punk album and does not get the appreciation it deserves, but santi and futct are close seconds and thirds most definately! futct is musically very unique and combines a lot of elements of even more genres than pop punk and i love it for that
@@Celevie413 I never hear anyone bring up Cartel and I’m glad you did, even though I only like a few of their songs I think they could’ve been massive if it wasn’t for that show they were on lol
the bottom 4 all being posthiatus made me a little sad- my top 3 are all posthiatus but i guess that's just diff preferences lol.
i do agree ab/ap is probably their weakest album, not that i don't like the songs but just as an album it doesn't work for me. i don't know how to explain this but it feels more like a playlist than an album? like they're all amazing songs, novocaine and the kids aren't alright are both in my top five songs overall but i would agree with it being the bottom
srar diiiddd make me a little sad... it's my favorite album, but i definitely have a different perspective seeing as it was my first album so i would imagine it's different if you're used to their older albums and of course it still makes me happy that it's not being slandered and this entire video surprised me with how nice it is about every album, i clicked on it completely planning to defend my fave albums with my life
i will always disagree with mania being their worst album and i love her so much but being a mania apologist is so real. she's done nothing wrong i think she's amazing and i think champion is one of their best songs.
i do mean this in an entirely light-hearted way but having so much for stardust only at #4 because there might end up being a better album but also saying "we're not in the future, we're in the present" felt a bit... ironic? but as long ago as this video was i think i can forgive it lmao. i think so much for stardust is one of their best albums (right before folie a deux- it's only my fourth favorite album but i can say it's objectively probably the best)
i'm still at tttyg so i haven't finished the video but i did just want to give my commentary on the post hiatus albums because i am their biggest defender. but of course i love every album so veyr much so seeing a video that's nice about every album made me super happy
That’s fair! I enjoy their post hiatus work a lot more and will probably revisit this video in the future. I grew up with pre-hiatus FOB so it holds a place in my heart lol
@@EternallyUncoolTrevor yeah that totally makes sense to me! i love prehiatus fob a lot but srar being my first album gives it a special place in my heart. the different fob eras just feel so seperated in the random it makes me really happy when we as a community can all appreciate the same band :]
I have a really good feeling this video will have great takes.
My list is:
1: Folie A Deux
2: Infinity on High
3: From Under The Cork Tree
4: Save Rock and Roll
5: Take This To Your Grave
6: So Much For Stardust
6: AB/AP
7: Mania
1: Take This To Your Grave
2: Evening Out With Your Girlfriend
3: From Under The Cork Tree
4: Folie à Deux
5: Infinity On High
6: Save Rock And Roll
7: AB/AP
8: Mania
Havent listened to SMFSD yet
So much for stardust is REALLY good
Man really just dissed Twin Skeletons
I will say that is a decent track off the album
Funny enough I’ve only ever heard the singles from American Beauty
Can you list all of the songs you used in this video? To be able to listen to all of them.
I’m gonna keep my fingers crossed for 2 videos a week when you hit 100 subscribers
Maybe that will be 200 subs lol I don’t have enough time to do two videos a week yet
American Beauty American Psycho might be bad but novocaine is a bop
No doubt it has some jams on it, but overall it just didn’t pull me in
@@EternallyUncoolTrevor there are songs in both AB/AP and MANIA that I only listen to once or twice, honestly. But novocaine and Twin Skeleton’s (Hotel in NYC) make me feel the same way as Alpha Dog.
@@summerchild_ I love Alpha Dog. My favorite off American Beauty is still Irresistible, it’s just too good. Mania I can listen to all the way through,
It's nice to see Mania not all the way at the bottom as it usually is
I am a shameless Mania apologist lol
I’m kinda sad that you didn’t talk about bang the doldrums
That’s a great song and I love it but my videos are already too long lol
I've come to terms with the fact that I'll probably never like American Beauty/American Psycho. I just find Patrick's vocals ear grating on that album. I love their first three albums and I think that's all I care about. However I did try listening to So Much for Stardust and it wasn't bad from what I remember. Oh and Mania's just American Beauty/American Psycho on steroids so it's a given that I won't probably like that one. You seem to like it, so different strokes for different folks.
I will admit as much as I despise Young and Menace as a song, the music video goes hard, especially the first 30-45 seconds. Super unnerving. There are also some songs I don't like from Infinity on High. Bang the Doldrums sounds like a song you'd hear in a CVS or Walgreens, and no matter how many times I listen to it, I can't bring myself to like This Ain't a Scene It's an Arms Race.
That’s fair. I’m sure the production or mixing on AB/AP has something to do with Pat’s vocals because I think he always sound pretty good, but that’s just me.
@@EternallyUncoolTrevor I've kinda felt that way about the vocals since the album came out I'm pretty sure. My brother listened to Centuries and Immortals a lot back in 2015 or whenever the album came out. I think he also listened to Uma Thurman a decent bit. Also Sixteen Candles is my all time favorite FOB song. Probably a pretty basic pick, but I still love it.
imagine dragons + guns and roses: two of my least fav bands :'
I can see how someone can not like those two bands haha. I personally think they both have some decent songs, nothing revolutionary or game changing but fun to listen to.
