Ran into a group of 5 thinking they were players, in my head I said "Yup I'm fucked".. no.. no as soon as they spotted me these idiots just stood still beating their meat and I killed them all with ease. This is not how you give your players a sense of achievement lmao, a part of me is hoping that the AI is 'toned down' for the open beta and will behave drastically different on release but I know that's just wishful thinking.

They were horrible in the tech test and they're still horrible now. DICE claimed it'd be hard to distinguish them from actual enemies and that's false. Just played another match and was able to shoot in the direction of two AIs ziplining, they jumped off the zip to protect themselves which is a good sign but they were completely oblivious to where I was shooting from even though I was probably only 40 meters away. The good news is, out of 7 hours total playtime so far I've only had one match where there was more than 10 AI per team. Which is acceptable to me, but I've seen people have lobbies consisting of 70% AI which is a no go. Could simply be incomplete matchmaking algorithm as the builds a few months old so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt there. Either way I'm absolutely loving the game and already dreading Oct 9-10 when the beta ends. Not sure if New World can hold me over now that we've actually played 2042 😂
I agree that BF4 is much better than what was presented in this beta, but remember that the full game will be much more polished than this. BF4 was a disaster at launch
@@JoaoPereira-jo7jv I agree somewhat. The core issues to me have to do with the push toward super high res textures and as many polygons as possible. I just want bf4 in the future with fixes and larger games... isn't that what we all wanted?
The problem with these recent big large-scale Battlefield games in the present day is that they don't feel like a multiplayer game anymore, they just feel like another sandbox where you can just hang out and mess around in like some form of low tier Garry's mod.
I will be playing a lot of portal, on the smaller maps, or with portions of maps closed off. I don’t really care for the war zone feel this game gives off. It’s really quite sad. I just wish they’d stick to battlefield. Edit: I suppose I should clarify, there’s nothing wrong with big maps, orbital is just barren, half the map is empty fields, and the overall difficulty level seems to cater far more to the new player than to those who wish to learn the game. Nothing wrong with that, I’m just saying that I’ll create my own experience in portal, and that’s the great part, you can. In no way am I saying this is a bad game, it’s just a little bit too much like CoD for a battlefield game. Either way, it’s pretty fun.

This game needs another year in development. I know this build is "a few months old" but damn it feels more like a pre-alpha then a beta test. BFV feels pretty good right now. 2042 will be an amazing game eventually but I don't think it is going to be great until year 2 if it releases in it's current state.
