One of my hometown junkyards that I havent been back to in about 7-8 years or so. Couple of cool volkswagens but nothing I quite needed. The oem wheel selection though was pretty impressive!
Sir, I applaud you. I’ve been saying since owning a golf mk5 R32, stop not having a v6 in your vee-hicles. Nothing like the sound, feel of a v6 . 👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻

That gray beetle you saw with the 1.8t downpipe is a turbo s, that has a 6 speed trans and that shift knob is special edition to the turbo s, you should go back and snag it

I remember when you went through all the crap with the shop that messed up your rebuild, you never put them on blast or nothing. You stayed classy. I respect you for you for that. I suggest headed cfpp in Orlando I went there recently and there is a 2.8 24v vr6 with the o2m transmission

i feel same way in the junkyard. always looking at everything to see what i can make work.
There are still VR6s outside the Passat and Atlas, but not in North America. China gets the DDKA lol. 2.5l turbo VR6, so cool.

@@vwnut1995 Yes, I know, but in Europe VW has not installed VR6 engines for a long time. We only get 3 and 4 cylinders here
Probably because the engine is dated and thirsty.
On man a vr6 mk7 Jetta would be insane from factory. Also have you ever thought of like selling things you find in the junkyard? Like just random VW parts

Emissions and fuel economy target have to be met by car manufacturers. Governments are cracking down. That’s why the VR6 is being phased out.
It’s not really being phased out though since they’re still making brand new ones in the atlas so they aren’t thaaat concerned lol
@@Mk3Smith They are. That will change soon. Slowly they have been removing them. Not only in NA, but world wide.
Yep; the VR6 is certainly not helping VW’s “CAFE” standards which is the average fuel economy for the brand as a whole. Im pretty sure the 3.6 is going away with the next Gen Atlas. Its very outdated by todays standards too.

War allerdings vom 2,5Liter R5 im The Beetle enttäuscht...null sound, genau wie beim TTRS und RS3.
@@tt-rs1457 am Sound kann man was dran schrauben, gerade beim 5 Ender. Dann klappt das auch mit der Soundkulisse.
