hi zTyler thats real talk bro.... If you get caught running with a wr u beat.... U pretty much chasing.... Thats y i use the shuffle technuiqe. Keep them in front of u
The speed turn is used to keep the DB on the receivers upfield shoulder after he has already opened to the outside. DB are taught to keep their leverage to the upfield shoulder in press coverage. Yes you should shuffle and stay square as long as possible but once they stem out and you open, if the receiver attempts an inside under blow by its better to speed turn than to try and come back underneath to keep upfield leverage. Which is why it should be taught, practiced and drilled so that once it’s necessary in a game time situation it’s natural to you. More likely to happen on a dig or a post but should be taught against the slant because it’s just a certainty that guys get beat off the line from time to time. Have to know how to recover. Sorry if this was a little long winded
Hard work and DB specific training.. DB I'm assuming right?... check out my IG page i post a lot of videos of drills and things to improve your skills. @christ.is.king.34

When the WR cuts back again you're not supposed to turn your whole body it gives them a advantage
