- Taking a leaf from other AAA games such as God of War Ragnarok: Valhalla, Splatoon 3: Side Order takes inspiration from roguelites, using the genre’s randomisation and permadeath structure to shake up existing mechanics. At the same time, there’s also a narrative element that will please fans who have been keeping up with Splatoon’s strange lore.
We’re not talking anything on the level of Hades or even Valhalla, but much like how Splatoon 2’s campaign based itself on the outcome of the final Splatfest in the first game, Side-Order also bases itself on the outcome of Splatoon 2’s final Splatfest, ‘Chaos vs Order’, where Chaos came out on top.

Oh how I wish there was multiplayer for this. But with only one other person.
You can play 2 player salmon run at the shoal. You can even save weapons you like from the online rotations to play offline with your friend. You can also set the difficulty

Whatever the verity of this question is will be determined sometime 2025, as each Splatoon game gets 2 years of time for their Splatfests before their Final Fest, excluding Mario's 35th Anniversary Splatfest in Splatoon 2 when the 35th Anniversary of the Mario series happened.
