There is just so much to see on Route 66. This is one of the few places where they had a bunch in one spot. Usually I drive several hours just to see one.
Route 66 is such a great place. But it does get tricky because it splits off depending on the year for Route 66. If you do it, there is a great paid app that helps you navigate and only gives you Route 66 attractions.
Usually I drive for hours to see just one weird and wacky attraction. So to have all of these in one place is a rarity. Plus the kids love a good road trip ice cream. Everyone wins.
If you do go, I recommend downloading a paid Route 66 GPS App. You get a license for like 7 days. Route 66 veers off the different paths depending on the year. And the app also shared all the Route 66 attractions.

Love the music ! Route 66 is interesting! What an animal display! I love to hang out and have ice cream also 😅 I cannot imagine living in a UFO ship. Livingston is super strange!
Thank you so much. It's always fun to look for music - but very time consuming. So I appreciate the feedback. Very few trips we take where we don't end up getting ice cream. Love how they have all the strange things in one place.
Now that we've driven out west I can definitely tell that dinosaurs from the gas stations in Claire's. We don't have those in the south first time I've ever seen one. Thought it was pretty cool mascot for a gas station though 😅 Hopefully one day we'll get to drive the whole route looks like it'll be pretty fun!
In Wisconsin Dells they have a life size one, which is crazy for sure. My wife banned me from driving the whole route right now. So I have to do it in segments. May be 17 hours from Chicago to St. Louis was a little much - I stopped at almost everything.
Man this place is definitely a weird and wacky one. Pink elephant, giant muffler men, and the UFO crash lol.. ice cream and fudge for the little ones, and the child at heart lol.. dang that's an old high school? I can't believe what they turned it into lol.. definitely a fun antique shop! Lots of fun weird sculptures there lol.. all over the place 😆
This place had it all. They even had a giant Donald Trump Muffler man. But i wasn't touching that in the Vlog. Want to keep the comments a happy place 😄. Melissa and Rosalie made it inside, but I was too busy seeing all they had outside.
A green Alien. Yum Ice cream. Love all the Characters and the Pink Elephant. A Quirky place. Wow! Living in a UFO Flying Saucer, that would be interesting. Great stop. Great roadside attractions. Happy Fathers Day Carl. 🙏🏼🤠♥👍🏼
So much fun! Growing up I was an Alvin fan. Now I think I like Simon more. I think it would be fun to bring a toddler here. Lots of fun things for them to name and touch. Here’s to hoping there’s some kind of crazy action in that octagon 🤞
Wow, you hit the jackpot with this location, lol. Everything weird and wacky here! I always liked Alvin, but Simon was good too. Knowing that this elephant was in a movie is impressive. Seems like an obscure movie that most probably don’t know.
I have drive 4-6 hours just to see one of these things. So to have everything in one place, it was special for sure. Headed to Dallas this weekend, and I have my EYE on one of the things they have there.
Omg!!!! I’ve never heard of this!!! I love learning something new!!!! This one is soooo Santos!!!! It kind of reminds me of Uranus! I mean the place. Ha ha! That was a house!?!!! What!!!!
I only know of it because I kept passing it when we visited family. Took only 3 years until I finally stopped. And it was worth it! Yes, uranus is great - the place.
What a fun place to check out!! So many fun things to check out. I had never heard of Big Boy, but I agree it's so weird when childhood loves become "antiques" haha. So many larger than life things to see! It keeps going! Great drone shot too. Lol even a spaceship! Fantastic adventure and tour as always :)
I love this place. We just ate supper there this evening. They have a few new items that they are hoping to start using next year including a food stand from the 1939 New York World’s Fair. The octagon stage is actually the performance stage for concerts they have there now. The pink elephant wasn’t in Flatliners: the giant man that you examined near the beginning was. They have started using part of the school as a haunted house the past couple of years. Also, the FOOD sign was from the old Diamonds Restaurant in Staunton, Illinois. I did one of my earliest videos on that closed restaurant; it has now been completely demolished. Lastly, the van is now where you can place a sticker if you have one. It’s almost completely covered in stickers now (only took about 6 weeks)
How was the food there? Thanks for solving the mystery of the Octagon. I must have misread it. You know so much, and you really need to give all your knowledge on your channel. Your comments are always so helpful.
@@SantosChronicles A lot of the food there is locally grown and raised and meals are made to order. They don’t have a huge menu, but I’ve always liked everything I’ve had. We eat there probably 6-10 times a year, not including when we go for ice cream-it’s only about 15 minutes from our house. I’ve made several videos on The Pink Elephant. I’ve tried to share what I know, but there’s a lot I forget. I have been trying to work on that more. Anyway

Imagine leaving town for years and then coming back for your high school reunion there 😂. A Futuro house! Your parents could never make you stand in the corner.
This place was so fun and glad we finally made it here. I sear I missed it at least 8-10 times going up and down that road to go to St. Louis. So this one was personal!
But I didn't see the lady behind the ice cream. Wonder if she was in for repairs. I wonder how much one of these things cost. You need to bring back your old content but somehow mix it. Maybe a unicycle during a truck show!
@@SantosChronicles well, I don’t think I want to go that far back🤪 no one watched that content. I deleted most from my channel. Did you know me when I was unicycle guy? Riding around the park. Something about the crowds, I can talk without being embarrassed 😂 My tractor content is doing so well. @@SomeplaceOrAnother Glad all the hard work is paying off. Lots of people go to Disney but not many people go to Tractor Shows, so you have a great niche. I started watching your channel during the museum era but went back and found your cycling days content.
Thats just a full on weird and wacky! I'd add "random" to it too. Everything from Frasiers Big Boy to Aliens to Trump! I wonder how those items are anchored onto the brick wall! Was that UFC walk-out video a promotional clip from when you were a rapper or something you shot just for that sequence? I told Mister to pull up your video to watch this morning and he goes, "I love Mr Carl's stuff!" So there is your target audience!! 🙂
On a windy day, I would stand next to these attractions. The UFC walk-out was from a UFC fan event I went to. It was hanging out in my hard drive till I found just the right spot to add it to. I always knew I liked RMM! Thanks for watching.
You always find the most interesting things...
I just love these type of places. So you'll be seeing more for sure. Thanks for watching.

It is amazing how many roadside attractions Route 66 has. Very cool to see this Antique Mall. LIKE 13. 👍👍👍
I agree. I still have so many to see. Considering it took me 17 hours to get from Chicago to St. Louis. This could take awhile.
Cool! I did part of Route 66 years ago. A full road trip is on my bucket list!

They are my personal favorites on our trips. We try to hit popular attractions also for the kids. Sunday I start my drive to Dallas Texas.
Yay for not missing the exit! 🩷 🐘 Jenn
Took only 3 years of missing it until we made it. And it was totally worth it.
What a fun place to stop.
