I always loved the music that played during the two final stages, where you have to collect the power cubes in the temple, then solve equations. I could never get enough of that music.
I remembered this game. So much memories! I have this game, but it looks like I lost it. It also came with another learning game called Monster Mansion. The main guide character was a talking skeleton with a top hat and it takes place in a big mansion, where you have to meet with those monsters who give you puzzles like Geography and Science. I think the backstory is that a scientist named Professor Dread turned a bunch of kids into monsters and the player has to collect crystals by going to labyrinths where each doors has a puzzle to unlock the door. I remembered the names of the labyrinths well. They are Scary Scramble, Terror Tiles, Ratty Reading, Math Mausoleum, Grotesque Grammer, Cadaver Corner, and Monster Map. After you collected all secen crystals (I guess), you have to navigate through a dark labyrinth with a flashlight to find the door to Professor Dread's Laboratory, in which you need to shine the light to the lock, which is emitted from the torches on both sides of the screen, by arranging the crystals the player receives from completing the labyrinth games. That and Monster Mansion were one of my favorite childhood games I've ever played.
I REMEMBER THIS. AHHH. And Treasure Mountain as well. And there was another one about diving underwater to figure out stuff. I wish I could remember it too.
I played this game so much when I was a little girl! I thought GC was so cool! And the platforming level was always my favorite, aside from the final portion of the game (the cooperative puzzle)
this game was my LIFE in 5th grade!!! we used to BEG our math teacher to let us play and got so excited to finish our work so we could!!! we'd all try to compete for the highest score on the scoreboard. i miss elementary so much!!! i'm so glad i found this because i couldn't remember what the game was called and it was KILLING me!!! i wish i could just play it again!!!!!
The hardest is Crater Crossing because players must find 10 pods written with equations which give results that fit the number target range which is difficult given the nature of these moving pods
Does anyone know what the waltz played during the parts where you have to make sure that the monkeys get to the other side is? I've been wondering that for twenty years.
