Synopsis:
• In chapters 1-4 of the Epistle to the Romans, abbreviated to Romans, the apostle Paul reveals how Jesus is creating a new multiethnic family based on the faith of Abraham through his death and resurrection, and by means of sending the Holy Spirit.
• In chapters 5-8, Paul differentiates between the first man, Adam (which means "humanity"), who chose disobedience and selfishness whereas Jesus lived in faithful obedience to God. As descendants of Adam, humanity faces the judgment of God. The apostle Paul also explains that salvation is offered through Jesus Christ, whom Paul refers to as the new Adam. Christ offers His life as a sacrificial gift to all humanity so that we might be justified before God.
• Chapters 9-16 explain that the pact of God with Israel, which is based on laws, serves to create a new family pact of God based mainly on faith. The new pact unifies through love, forgiveness, and mutual service (e.g., serving: teaching, prophesying, leading, and giving). Romans - NKJV
