I know there's a lot of controversy about who's best, but honestly? I liked all three. Anette was a weird fit sometimes, but Escapist, Scaretale, Amaranth, and Storytime were fantastic songs, and I think second only to Nemo, Escapist is my favorite Nightwish song and I can't imagine either Tarja or Floor pulling that song off as well as Anette did. But nothing beats Nemo, not Escapist, nothing Floor has been a part of, nothing. At least not IMO. And Tarja and Marco singing Phantom of the Opera was amazing.
And still I needed to adjust to her solo songs, that truly felt weird to me, as indeed, she has an Amazing powerful voice. Never knew how much of a difference it could’ve been to sing for Nightwish or solo. Luckily for me, I can enjoy both, these days, although NW’s songs sure aren’t all this powerful

You have no idea how true that is, Tuomas Holopainen is Jesus Christ. That's why you came to such a realization that it is a gift to all mankind. Take a look at his lyrics, he says it straight-out in the new Human Nature album. "I am the one you call the thief" Jesus returns as a thief in the Night. To steal from those Unworthy ones, and take back what is his. Tuomas' lyrics in Auri are even more telling if you have eyes to see and ears to hear. Most Do Not Tuomas is aware that I know all about his music, I am even the subject of his new Auri album ( Those We Don't Speak Of ) In the beginning of the Pearl Diving song from Auri, you can hear Johanna begin singing "Noaaahhh," and then just sings "ahhhh. Ahh ahhh". My birthstone is pearl, and I took the dive a believed him for what his music is (he honored that and the music became a testament to that). He is my dear friend forever.
This song + Video is full of feelings. Tarja looks sad, emotional , and it only makes me want them to be together just one more time. Even if its for a song. Its about time. Best nightwish song ever.

"These lines the last endeavour, to find the missing lifeline". Between the words and the notes written by Tuomas Holopainen, if you compare these albums to her Solo albums when she left Nightwish, there is nothing to compare. While I do enjoy her album My Winter Storm; the atmosphere in Nightwish is broken when she is Solo. Even when she tried to cover the songs live after leaving Nightwish, they sound low key, not high toned beautiful. Do you even realize Tuomas Holopainen is Jesus Christ. Jesus said he would come as a thief in the night, meaning no one would know he was here until he was already gone. Also he said referring to himself returning, 'Where the body lies, there the vultures will gather.' Meaning he would be dead in a symbolic way but people would sense something to feed on and gather to him. His body lying dead means who would be spiritually sleeping and not remember who he was (which is what is happening to Tuomas). I'm sure he's had thoughts of who he was, and it really comes through his writings Those who are fans are gathering to him because they sense a connection to the Divine. Which is probably what you picked up on.

Diego Lee Tarja is great but hyperspecialized. Floor could never be as good as Tarja for opera, but Floor is more diverse and it s rather shocking how good she is for so many things: opera, soft voice, loud voice, screams everything. Floor is a better fit for nightiwsh.

Evanescence led me here today. They are the first band with a female lead singer that I listened to. Thank you, Amy. I'm so glad I have stumbled on all of these PHENOMENAL symphonic, alternative, melodic metal/rock bands! 🎆🎇🎸🤘🔥
I hope by now you are familiar with bands like Within Temptation, Epica, After Forever, Sirena, Delain and others? I was the same as you, Evanescence led me to Nightwish and Epica the same day. Good female led bands in metal are actually quite numerous, but you have to first climb down the rabbit hole to find them, and then suddenly they're everywhere, and Evanescence isn't even close to the best. For me the best band of this kind is Within Temptation, but you can't go wrong with any of them. Nightwish was such a great breath of fresh air for me. If you're feeling really adventurous I would highly recommend the Diablo Swing Orchestra. God they're weird but so great! Metal, Swing, Opera, Salsa, like they fuse it all together at times and it's just outstanding. And if you like Alternative, I would definitely recommend Katzenjammer. I fell in love with Demon Kitty Rag in 10 seconds flat, but they just kept adding layers of cool, and by the end I was absolutely hooked and knew I had to listen to their entire discography. This was the first nightwish song I ever heard. And it remains my favorite to thus day. As for hate among some fans, it's understood. All their lead vocalists were/are amazingly talented and extremely gifted. As Nightwish's music has evolved, Floor definitely suits their new sound and direction. However, nothing compares to Tarja's soul stirring angelic highs and lows.

@@00werd Андрей... Это реально оперный вокал))) я написала чистую правду, но как она преподносит - эту оперу? Она вкладывает такой драйв, что её вокальное супер умение, Превращает всё в искусство! Diego Lee Tarja is great but hyperspecialized. Floor could never be as good as Tarja for opera, but Floor is more diverse and it s rather shocking how good she is for so many things: opera, soft voice, loud voice, screams everything. Floor is a better fit for nightiwsh.
floor is the most overrated singer ever and she won't ever be as good as Tarja. I feel sad for all floor fanboys/ girls.

Evanescence led me here today. They are the first band with a female lead singer that I listened to. Thank you, Amy. I'm so glad I have stumbled on all of these PHENOMENAL symphonic, alternative, melodic metal/rock bands! 🎆🎇🎸🤘🔥
I hope by now you are familiar with bands like Within Temptation, Epica, After Forever, Sirena, Delain and others? I was the same as you, Evanescence led me to Nightwish and Epica the same day. Good female led bands in metal are actually quite numerous, but you have to first climb down the rabbit hole to find them, and then suddenly they're everywhere, and Evanescence isn't even close to the best. For me the best band of this kind is Within Temptation, but you can't go wrong with any of them. Nightwish was such a great breath of fresh air for me.
If you're feeling really adventurous I would highly recommend the Diablo Swing Orchestra. God they're weird but so great! Metal, Swing, Opera, Salsa, like they fuse it all together at times and it's just outstanding.
And if you like Alternative, I would definitely recommend Katzenjammer. I fell in love with Demon Kitty Rag in 10 seconds flat, but they just kept adding layers of cool, and by the end I was absolutely hooked and knew I had to listen to their entire discography.

This was the first nightwish song I ever heard. And it remains my favorite to thus day. As for hate among some fans, it's understood. All their lead vocalists were/are amazingly talented and extremely gifted. As Nightwish's music has evolved, Floor definitely suits their new sound and direction. However, nothing compares to Tarja's soul stirring angelic highs and lows.

True, Tarja's soul and voice is missing in Nightwish, but Floor is also great. Pity is only that many of their original members abandon their band. 😢
