Robbie at Knebworth is one of the best and memorable concerts off all time. I believe there were 300.000people coming over there in the two days. There are only a few entertainers in the past that could rock an audience like this. He was emotional, he was joyful, he was honest and most important he was there together with the crowd. They loved him for being so open. I watched this concert many times later on and still love to hear and see parts of it. For every artist a must see how you deliver.
Throughout his heyday I turned my nose up at Robbie, probably because he was EVERYWHERE you looked. A couple of years ago I heard him in an interview and absolutely loved the guy, he was down to earth, very funny and such a nice bloke, so I had another look at his music and realised I'd been an anti pop snob. All of his stuff is top drawer, proper superstar material.
Always loved him though , even when he was in take that 🙂. The group was never the same after he left. Mr charisma, and he CAN sing. Always thought he'd go into acting too. Unfortunately, he didn't.
Oh this is a rabbit hole and you slid right in. He is an amazing performer and he's adorable. This song is self depreciating and I just love him so much.

I LOVE/HATE this song! This was Robbies latest album when my grandmother passed away. I just remember on the morning of her funeral switching on the TV to a music channel and this song came on. I can remember thinking there's no way I can find the strength to bury the woman that raised me in a few hours. When I got back from the funeral I just sat numb, listening to this album on repeat for days. To this day, 21 years later Come Undone and Feel take me right back to this time and make everything feel as raw as it did at that time. Not ashamed to say I'm heading to my 40s and I still tear up unreal hearing this song. I STILL cannot watch the actual music video for this song!
So sad that the country you have a home in doesn't care for you or can appreciate you for being a fantastic performer. I dont understand why the US would not like him. Whats not to like??? his beautiful voice , his sense of humour, his amazing performances, or,,,( for the ladies),,, his gorgeous looks??? We were visiting them in Stoke-on-Trent and went to their local pub on a Sunday afternoon - this was way back in the 1990s. We walked into the lounge bar of the pub and he called out using my brother-in-law's school nickname. Robbie was reading the Sunday papers. We sat down with him and he bought us all a drink - I actually went to the bar to order our drinks, with his £20 note... my one and only claim to fame.
I'm not into pop, but Robbie is one of the few pop artists I would listen to if they are on my Spotify. And I seriously think he's one of the best entertainers on stage, comparable to Freddy Mercury. f

"Feel the room" ... I think a few body parts got a bigger feel. A RW crowed at that stage was largely female and into his personality in a way that almost anything goes. The atmosphere at those gigs was incredible, and robbie rode it like an experienced rodeo. You are right that the climate has changed for that sort of ...er... fun.
