- A lap of each track (as of 2020) in KartKraft in the KZ shifter kart. Using a Fanatec DD2 wheelbase, a genuine Italkart steering wheel and a Heusinkveld sequential shifter. The "Mychron 5" Is an old phone running simhub with a 3D printed housing I designed.

Just beat your lap time on Kart Kraft with the shifter on AMSP! Come get it back! Love the setup, would be an absolute dream to have something like that, I also used to race at Sima, Family friends with Michael. Cant wait to see more videos of the setup.

Frighteningly fast! Nice sim setup. Your KZ shifter kart seems to be very steady on the track. I've been driving the 125cc TAG karts at AMSP in KartKraft. These karts bounce around a lot more than expected (still managed to get 49.1 sec/lap). Did you do something in the setup to settle yours down?
I like to remove a little castor and keep the seat height low, makes it a little more compliant. Also set the brake bias 90% or more to the front. Hope that helps!

Nice play! How do you set up your DD2 and KK? I tried many times. KK seems to put more load at higher speed, which is not like my real kart. Do you have some way to solve this?

Hi! Main PC specs are a 9700k @5.0ghz, gtx 1080. I get over 60fps @ 5760x1080p with most graphics settings on high

How did you connect your karting steering wheel on a fanatec base ?
A kart wheel can just bolt to a universal hub. Sometimes you need to be clever with nuts/bolts but any kart wheel should work

The shifter is a modified Heusinkvelt SQ shifter, wheel is just a kart wheel on a fanatec universal hub. DD2 wheelbase

I haven't been able to race this in a long time, my heusinkveld Ultimates don't get recognised for some reason.. But back when I had the V3's and could race it, I liked the physics of Kart Racing Pro better.

Its an old phone and 3D printed case, tho modelled after a mychron 5. I'd like to use a real mychron for a future remake 🤔

Its simply a go kart wheel on a Fanatec universal hub! The screen is an old phone in a 3D printed case. My wheel is an Italkart
what's your DD settings?
DD2 Usually 100% ffb on wheel and 5 - 10% damping and inertia. 25 - 30% ffb game is similar strength to most karts

Its Heusinkveld SQ shifter mounted on a short piece of almuminum extrusion

Fanatec universal hub. Either by drilling a couple more new holes, or a 3D printed adapter

Karts go exactly that fast! Check out some real life KZ or shifter kart videos, they are astonishing. A few on my channel few may be worth watching.

I can't tell if the video is in kph or mph but it looks unrealistically fast. They cannot take corners like that and the top speed of the fastest/best built 125cc karts are around 110-115mph. We were able to hit 114mph in a draft at Daytona.

How do you attach the kart wheel to the base? I have a spare wheel I want to use on the sim idk how tho.
I 3D printed an adapter for kart to 70mm bolt pattern, then mounted on a Fanatec universal hub. You could also drill a new bolt pattern in the hub and use nuts behind to thread into

SIMA is my club track, I attend every race usually in shifter and occasionally tag.
How much it will cost
A full setup like that is probably like at least 2k dollars

i race karts irl and honestly kartkraft doesent feel that realistic to me, the lack of grip is excesive, tyre temperature goes up like 1 degree per lap, it has way too much of some things and way to little of others
Same but I don't have kart kraft I can say the same about the acfl kart mod for assetto cross tho
how the fuck u get so much grip, my experience in kraftkart is like driving on ice :D

@@ethancotphotography In my opinion a DD2 (24nm) can be stronger/torqueer than a kart's wheel. Definitely stronger than any rear-brake kart, maybe a front-brake or shifter could be as strong, or stronger in some conditions, but rarely. 18 - 22nm peaks feel real to me
