It's been 1 year already since I started playing dd2, and your 2022 beginner's guide was so useful, and it's so good to see that the quests now provide some help to new players!
I would suggest equiping higher gear score level items mid run. this speeds up your progression a lot. Additionally you should be using the 'Sort Bag' button. this will already sort your items by item type and gear score. it's way easier to check for highest gear score weapon this way. I would have checked Medallions as well to increase your Tower dps.
Equipping items mid run only helps in Survival mode. In Onslaught gear quality is locked per floor and in Expeditions gear quality is internally recorded without ever equipping a piece. What you are describing was the case many many years ago, but that is old info that is no longer correct.
Kind of wish you made a c9/c10 guide because your playlist for the new character series maxes out at c8. All your guides are just making defenses with maxed-out 10/10 mods and godly gear, very unrealistic for new players. I'm guessing it's best for them to rush 50 resets and then decide if they want to farm endgame, or keep resetting, right? I still enjoy your content though, but your guides seem finished.
The thing is, its not so much mods, yes mods help, but shards is the key, destruction, guilded for better gameplay, defence rate (mod at 10/10 c8 is max cause c9 and c10 gives no benefit to the mod's stats) so farm mods at c7, and reroll tokens if you intend on getting 10/10 mods, but if you farm its even better just to farm 10/10's out of the gate, and just upgrade the relic to c8 and move it to a decent damage and hp stat relic that is c10, the alt key on pc shows the min and max of stats so you will know how good the stats is, main stat can be rerolled but not 2ndary stat. Remember, at the end of the day it is a grinding game, so running maps over and over till ur sick is the key to move on, thats just how it is, doing c7 in c8 gear/relics, makes it afk so thats just the way to go, its not about playing the game to c10 one map per chaos level, its about putting the grind on
I have just 100s of videos about builds for C9 and C10. The thing to realize is the game is a massive grind. There is no "easy skip" to break in to the end difficulties (if not being carried) without having a fairly large amount of grind time in. Every core mod and shard in the game is available by Chaos 8. So it becomes, did you grind or didn't you grind. Getting maxed out mods and Gilded Shards is just grinding. But also don't be intimidated by that. If I am doing it with maxed mods and gilded shards AFK, then anyone can do it with the same mods and shards that are lower level by contributing. Have to also realize the majority of my videos are not guides. It's me playing the game. You can put together the exact same mod and shard setups by Grinding C8 and below.
This is a fresh play through, there is no Ancient Power. If you mean ascension yeah I will cover that in the future. I always assume people watched the rest of the series so missed that.
now make a video how to be unstoppable killing machine with ascension buffs (tower power etc.) and floor 9001 passed and uhh- yeah on more serious note, make a video on ascension points itself maybe
