- In this video we visit Ravine Gardens State Park in Palatka, FL. A paved road winds around the two ravines, offering beautiful views of the natural setting. A small spring fed creek runs through the banks and has carved out most of the ravines. Two decent sized suspension bridges gap the valleys and offer a fun way to cross them. There are many picnic sites spread throughout the park, most equipped with tables and grills. It was a little rainy and humid when we arrived but we had fun nonetheless! Come along as we hike the area!

I was a social worker in Palatka, and used to go here at lunch
It is a really nice park! Great place to exercise. Thanks for watching! 🙂
Beautiful
It is a beautiful park and worth a day visit!
Came across your video here while looking at spots for a possible photoshoot. After seeing this, makes me want to visit in general for fun!
This place was a lot of fun! I got some really nice photos here, too! It's totally worth a visit and picnic!
Without the music this is where I hung out
It is a fun place to hike! We loved the bridges.
just hiked it yesterday.. lovely place
We loved it too! Definitely worth a visit! 🙂
I remember going here as a child as one of my favorite places, to be honest I'm super glad its still open to the public, but sad it seems so run down to what it once was😢
It was still interesting. The suspension bridges were pretty cool. Thanks for watching! 🙂
1:49 Rec Center....Back in the day Boogie Balls
What are Boogie balls? Lol
The rec center looked like a lot of fun. 🙂
@@FloridaandBeyond Boogie Balls were events held at that Rec Center on weekends through the 60s and 70s featuring local bands.
Great fun was had by all, and looking back, it seems pretty wholesome.
Near that area of the entrance to the park, their used to be a minor league ballpark where the Babe played an exhibition game in the 1930s
@@artproject3169 wow so much history! It is such a nice park!
This is a great park. I haven't been there couple of years, dying to go back. Thanks for sharing your experience there 🙂
It is an awesome place to hike! You should definitely plan a trip there again!
My home town grew up running those trails 👣.
Nice! It was definitely a workout that day.
Great place. Took my mom a couple years ago. She loved it. Did EVERY trail including climbing over the trees at 70yrs young! They were running a marathon there that day. Everyone had costumes on! Have the fixed the washed out part?
I don't remember there being any wash out. That is awesome your mom did the whole park. It is definitely a hike. We did a few of the trails but with Nicolai with us it was a little hard. Poor kid is terrified of heights. Thanks for watching!
Great overview! On our list as well 😃
It was such a scenic area to hike around. Bring a picnic lunch! Thanks for watching!
Mackinaw island bridge, Michigan!! I was referring to a walking bridge on the island itself, if it's still there?
That is a nice bridge! It's way bigger than the bridges at Ravine. The bridges at this park are for walking. 🙂
Grandfather Mt north Carolina
We haven't been but it looks fun! It is on our list!
This place looks very interesting! I like the bridges and views! Thanks for sharing! ~ London
Lots of old historical work around the park. It is definitely worth a trip to Palatka!
This place looks really cool! I love suspension bridges especially the swaying feeling. I will check it out. Thank you for sharing!
The bridge was awesome!
That’s a nice park and I like the ravines because I’m a ravine machine but y’all and I are hoping the quarterback Tom Brady from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers falls in one of the ravines
Ouch lol! It definitely was a beautiful park though. Thanks for watching!
The kid at 6:35...
We had him out hiking all week, he was ready for home. 🤣
can a handicapped scooter make the trail?
There are some areas a scooter might possibly be able to go. The center is made up hiking trails and stairs. On the State Park website, it says you should call before visiting just to confirm that your scooter is approved for the park. Their phone number is +1 386-329-3721. I hope this helps and you can see some of the park!
@@FloridaandBeyond thank you
@@chriscross2001 you are welcome!
Do any of the parks have restrictions on drones?
Most of them do not allow drones. We found that Kelly Park will allow drones though so definitely check that one out.
@@FloridaandBeyond Awesome Thank you! I love watching your videos and seeing them really makes me want to take a trip to them. I'm a Florida local, born and raised, and never knew about so many of these parks. Grant it, I didn't have internet when I was growing up to look these up lol.
Your videos really do help me and my girlfriend plan out what to places to check out. Keep up the great work and God bless y'all.
@@gator5531 thank you so much! We were in the same boat before we started our channel. We never knew any of these places existed. We decided to record ourselves visiting these places for the first and giving others as much info as we can find about the place. Life is just way to short to not get out there and explore. Thank you for watching and we are glad we can help even if just a little. 🙂
