😮 I remember watching Sailor Moon when I was a kid back in the 90s y'all gone and Fd with DBZ and made me a fan of abridged. So now I'm alive to witness one of my other favorite cartoons I saw on Cartoon Networks Toonami when I would come home after school. I would had been like 8 or 9 when I first saw it and I remember feeling embarrassed watching it and felt like I didn't want my parents walking in on me while I was watching the series like a teenager reading a magazine 😅. So like yeah cool that's y'all testing the waters with something new to a beloved childhood show just like DBZ 😂

The term "money laundering" comes from people historically opening up laundromats to funnel illegal money through those business as "profits", so its a little bit of an on-the-nose joke
I love the running gag of needing to get the Tux to the cleaners, too, like it’s a rental.
It's also a breaking bad reference, topical since, you know. Meth.
@figbagit3137 Just to clarify, the term "money laundering" does not originate from the presumed prevalence of laundromats used to perform the act. The term references the way money is "cleaned" (With laundering being the act of putting something through the wash). The first usages of the term were also used in relation to the Watergate Scandal, so it definitely doesn't have anything to do with laundromats (at least according to the two articles I read, lol).
Side note: I kinda feel like a douche for "Um, actually-ing" you, so I just wanna make it known I wrote this not because I wanted the satisfaction of being correct, but because I wanted to dispel any misunderstandings. Sorry!

Fun fact for those who don't know: the voice of Luna is Corinne "Megami33" Sudberg, who was the creator of the original Sailor Moon Abridged many years ago, where she also voiced Luna, just like she does here. In that version, she gave Luna a British accent, just like she had in the original Canadian dub.

Team four star really is about bringing the best together since the old days
We've come a long way from Helsing Ultimate Abridged where they had a man voice the main female lead. Don't get me wrong, Jessie obliterated that roll, but it's nice to see the ladies getting representation.

I'm pretty sure it has more to do with celestial bodies in Japanese folklore than actual physical planets. At least that's what the manga translation notes say about it.

So there *was* a dub where her name was Serena! I watched this show all the time as a little kid, so I couldn't understand how I somehow never knew Sailors Moon's real name was Usagi. It was some serious Mandela Effect bs.
@hollt693 Yeah the original DiC dub was *heavily* censored, changed the names, gave most of the characters weird accents and voices, and haaated moments of silence and would fill them with jokes that ruined the moment (Digimon did the same).
Most memorably is the scene where Tuxedo Mask is lying dead on the ground, Usagi cries and the silver crystal is assembled, and she transforms into the long missing princess! After thirty episodes of build up it's all on the table! And in the japanese, and the later dub, it's just silent with dramatic music to let the moment sink in.
The dub had her think out loud "Me? The moon princess? Now this is way past weird."
Completely changing the tone and atmosphere and ruining the dramatic climactic moment.
They also super cut the two-part finale down to one episode and worked around the fact that all the scouts DIED.
@robbybevard8034 Don't forget them changing Sailors Neptune and Uranus to be "cousins" instead of lovers. And made sure to make sure multiple times people were fully aware: They're only cousins, so it's okay!

Yeah, or you could technically have a queen regnant (a queen who is married to a king who is a ruler or a former ruler of a country) and a queen regent (a queen who is the current ruler of a country) at the same time.
If Queen Elizabeth abdicated to let her son be the ruler of England before she died, Queen Elizabeth wouldn't lose the title of Queen and there'd be two Queens of England alive at the same time, they'd just both be Queen regnant while Charles would still be King regent.
