Hi All! I wanted to give everyone a life update as we are closing in on almost 2 years since this video was made. First let me say it makes my day to receive all the kind words from people who have seen the video. Hearing that I have inspired people is something that’s very special to me. Very shortly after this video was made I actually decided to leave ECC. I was offered an opportunity to continue coaching as a special teams student assistant at Division 1 FCS Southeast Missouri State. In 2018 we enjoyed a 9-4 season and an FCS playoff victory as well as carrying the #2 ranked special teams unit in the country. Shortly after the spring of 2019 I made another jump. I joined the coaching staff at Western Kentucky University as a defensive student assistant working with linebackers. We had a great year in 2019 at 9-4 as well as a victory in the First Responder Bowl. I am still currently coaching and going to school at WKU and plan on finishing my undergraduate degree here. I appreciate you all following me on my journey!
I’m glad you’re still in school & wow your moving up the ranks! Good luck, keep up the hard work. It dawned on me this year that I want to be coaching a football team one day. So it was nice to see your journey. So that’s how it works?, assistant student for specific positions? I was told to volunteer for kids football first. Then work up. Still have a lot to learn.
Man it'd be sick if in 10 years Brandon gets like promoted to the head coach of the school, and then goes to some bigger school, and then maybe the NFL level someday.
I'm the same way like Braden Herdic, I been helping with football since 6th grade I'm trying to learn how to cut film down but I know how to handle the other side of football operation pretty good
