I would say it's because lissandra doesn't have the best lvl1, meaning that ekko can outtrade her with his passive, which he couldn't proc with q start. Ekko also had corrupting potions, meaning that equal trades would be in ekkos favour, since he has more effective health when taking the pots into account.

seriously tho, I've seen a lot of people suggesting kayn as a pocket pick for ekko players, so I assume it does work vise versa. you should give it a go at least

I prefer Nashors over LB personally. Idk which one is mathematically better but Nashors just feels better
