Not to quibble, because, of course, it's brilliant overall, but I suspect that the thinking wasn't a C# triad going to the B natural resolution (end of chorus 4), but rather that you played the Bb-7 over the A7 (i.e. altered) and simply delayed that resolution 2 beats
I never think about playing an "altered" scale or chord...I usually think triads over other chords, so I believe I was actually just thinking about playing a triad a half step below the resolution chord (I talk about this in my tritone video because it gives the tritone sub sound without thinking of the complicated altered/substitution stuff)
@ makes eminent sense. I would say that the combo of your and my ‘analysis’, is that it’s critical to know your arpeggios (sourced from an associated scale), and that knowing them eases the creation of melodies.
