Dear God,
We come to you seeking your protection and mercy as a derecho is a possibility later today into tonight. Calm the strong winds, still the rains, and quiet the thunder.
Protect our homes, our families, and our communities from harm. Keep us safe from the storm's destructive power.
Grant wisdom to those who work to restore power and services, and comfort those who may be anxious or fearful.
May your peace be our refuge, and your love our guide, even in the midst of turmoil.
