Hardkiss is a rock band. The first song you heard of them is very different from their usual repertoire. They have a lot of good songs. You can take any of their videos for a reaction - the audience will appreciate it.
I love to see an American appreciating and praising my co-favorite band so much! Ukrainian music captivated me about 2 years ago when I discovered bands Go_A (my other favorite) and The Hardkiss. There's a lot of good comments telling you more about The Hardkiss, so I'll tell you about Go_A :) Like The Hardkiss, Go_A is led by an amazing frontwoman backed by a group of talented men playing various instruments. Unlike The Hardkiss who have multiple (still great) songs in English as well, Go_A's entire production is in the beautiful Ukrainian language. Go_A's style is very unique, they base their song lyrics on Ukrainian folklore and use traditional singing, compositions and instruments, but they merge all that with modern electronic music to make an amazing mix of past and present. Unfortunately their discography so far is pretty limited, about 20 songs even though the band was formed over 10 years ago and there's only a few new songs from them I could confidently recommend to you, since the majority of their music is pretty old and not that approachable for a few reasons (still very good in my opinion). Anyways, I encourage you to keep listening to The Hardkiss, they're absolutely worth it, and if Go_A sounds interesting to you, please give them a shot :D If you do, I'd recommend starting out with their newest single and music video "Rusalochki". Like most of their songs, the lyrics have a deep meaning and are difficult to interpret with just a translation, but what you said at the end of the video applies there as well, the music and voice are so good you don't necessarily need to know the lyrics to enjoy the song.
If you want to listen to Ukrainian music, I recommend these artists YARMAK - RAGNAROK YARMAK - ДИКЕ ПОЛЕ (FT. ALISA) YARMAK - Хай нам, брате, пощастить KOZAK SIROMAHA - Ворога поборемо Kozak Siromaha - Гуляли Хас & Omut - Залишаюсь тут I recommend this one of the newer ones first YARMAK - RAGNAROK
Perhaps call it rock, experimental rock, electronic rock. Trust me, even Ukrainians saying that they are very unique, very different. This song is called "Lovers". Fronwoman's name is Julia Sanina. She and her husband Val, who's also guitar man and creates all their music videos, started the band in 2012. Find some of their English language songs: Festival, Perfection, Rain, Japanese Dancer, Forever More, Make Up. Their repertoire ranges from gentle slow enigmatic to hard explosive songs. They are unique sound, charismatic characters and every song is a hit. Thank you for your reactions 💙💛 Greetings from Ukraine!
Thanks for your reaction. For me this is not their best song. Since they decided to go in a rock direction, they played different music. Their first album is predominantly in electro-pop style. Definitely need to listen to their songs Stones, Helpless, Tony Talk, Make-Up (the song after which they became popular).
welcome to army THE HARDKISS

They have soooo many great songs... It's a rock band, but more like a pop rock, imho. I'd also check out "7 winds"
