i follow you on instagram and didn't realise you had a youtube channel until this appeared in my recommended videos! Love your art style and i think the red ink lineart in this is so cool
ashiyaart oh I didn’t mean to make it sound like you made your channel hard to find or anything? I’m a new follower, guess i’ve been scrolling too quickly on instagram without reading the captions oops :/
I’m a young(and not very experienced) watercolor artist, and you’re a huge inspiration to me! Your videos make me want to draw and practice with my watercolors. I hope someday I can make amazing art like this. Question: Are you self taught or have you taken classes or gone to a school specifically for art or something like that? I’m sure you’ve been asked this many times and it’s quite annoying or you’ve already explained it. I’m just curious.
Haha yes I explained it so many times, I should make a FAQ video when I will be brave enough to speak English Look, art schools here in my country is a place where moms put their children to kill their time, so it's not that educational, but it surely gave me some basics, as well as design university which i've graduated from. There wasn't any school teaching illustration, at least the time I was a student, so mainly I studied by myself with some base from the school I attended :D
Maybe your paint has ox gall in it? This tends to make paints spread out, Holbein is the paint brand ashiya uses which doesn’t have ox gall so the paints don’t spread out and you can control it easier.
Your paintings are gorgeous, and I love how loose and flowing your color blends are! Your palette seems perfect for an illustrative style of watercolor too; is there any chance you will list the colors/brands featured in your current palette on your youtube channel?
I have to ask this question. So, you are outlining your painting with a red pencil? Because when ever I put water on my painting the pencil outline get of and when I’m finished with coloring I still can see the outlines. It’s pretty annoying and I don’t know what to use.
red pencil is visible after painting too and even unerasable. if you can't erase ordinary pencil lines after painting you may try doing sketch with watercolor pencils which will blend to your work, just use a similar color to the thing you paint. or you can do ink linework before painting, erase pencil lines and then paint
Does anyone have any tips for learning how to draw building? Backgrounds? I don't want to use perspectives lines and I know it's possible without using them. Please any tips/advice? And if you say 'practice' practice what exactly?
you can do it without any lines after you drew A LOT of works with the lines, it just become natural for you and you will be able to draw without lines. so yeah, you need to practice drawing with lines like crazy. also watch a lot around you and analyze that you see, like, why this building look like this from this side, why like this from another side. draw looking to real places, build this background inside your mind and on your paper sheet! good luck!
her line arts are pretty satisfying.

How long did that take?
When will you do a video about what colours you use?
when will you become active on patreon again?
I hope this August with my webtoon, if everything will be ok! :D
ashiyaart you have a webtoon??😍
I love your video
Are you using a dip pen?
Watching your video I just want to do watercolor so badly
How do you control your colors so well? Whenever I paint the paint just goes everywhere
I think you should use less water and better paper!
Maybe your paint has ox gall in it? This tends to make paints spread out, Holbein is the paint brand ashiya uses which doesn’t have ox gall so the paints don’t spread out and you can control it easier.
I hate this series! Everything you draw looks so good, it makes me hungry!
( I'm just kidding that I hate this series! Please make more video )
hahaha I will make you hate it more!! thank you! :DD
now I really hate you :D
I just started :DD
May i ask what brand/kind of red pencil did she used drawing this? I also wanna try this kind of pencil so please reply! :)
geylaluh _ I'm not for sure but I think she uses Ticonderoga Erasable Carmine Red. You can get it at Hobby Lobby or Michael's :)
Where did you buy your escoda Optimo brush? I’m looking to buy one could you tell me the price?
I've bought it offline, so it won't help you, for the price, it costed me about 45 USD (but it wasn't in this currency so it's very approximately)
Очень классно что видео снято в замедленном темпе 🤔
это реальное время, не замедленное))
Those 8 persons who disliked this AMAZING ART doesn't know the TRUE MEANING OF ART!💕💕💕
Like this comment if you agree!😁😁💕💕👌🏻👌🏻
LOOOOOOVE
how do you do this. like how do you know where and when to place the colours. i really want to learn watercolour
it's just experience, it comes with practice!
How long it's take to do this illustrasion ?
about 4 hours if you don't count the time for the paint to dry and other breaks
hello? um, your artworks r great---
im also eating ramen rn, what a coincidence
ohh really!
То, чем вы пером рисовали, это была акварель или тушь??🤔🤔🤔
Boginya Yaoi это акварель 👀
Now I'm going to make some noodles
😍😍😍
Your paintings are gorgeous, and I love how loose and flowing your color blends are! Your palette seems perfect for an illustrative style of watercolor too; is there any chance you will list the colors/brands featured in your current palette on your youtube channel?
So cute darw😍😍😍😍😍
how do your colors not bleed together and make mucky colors while blending, especially for the table reflection?
they bleed when I allow them to do it! perhaps they don't become mucky because I use good paints with clear pigments
ashiyaart ahhh I see :( I'm using pebeo watercolors and low gsm watercolor paper, I should upgrade those soon x_x
Thanks for the reply
C0nes use Holbein Watercolor (HWC) that’s what she uses and I tried it, it is very pigmented😉
Ai Kato I'm planning on saving up for them : D

Neko_LeviArt I'm pretty sure she's using #422 - Red Brown!
I came for insta 😄
Am I the only one eating and watching?
Oh! Why don't you paint pancakes?
I think it would look amazing!
hi Ashiya, can you please make a hand tutorial? please please reply me :
And.... I'm hungry

Yandere Chan? Was it
Im too broke to draw something like this π_π
it's about skills, not about expensive tools
ashiyaart ....i guess your right... Thanks(○゚ε゚○)
I love your Illustration, but I Think you must choose another music, this music is extremely repetitive which make it annoying
you can easily turn down the volume and listen to your favorite music then! :D
So pretty! Love your colors! 😄❤
