The is a logic answer for this: In the last ranked season everyone who had achieve masters, legendary, mythic etc, could achieve the max ranked in a row (as the showed with the battle cards). Now that is a new season everything resets and there is no boost cuz of this detail in the last ranked season. It's not a bug or a Supercell's mistake.... It's just the mechanicm.Don't blame Supercel all the time guys 😢
