Lassie - Episode #31 - "The School" - Season 2, Ep. 5 - (10/9/1955)

The new schoolteacher has the students pets removed from the classroom and causes one student to retaliate. The humor is well played in this episode, especially at the very end. It's interesting to note that only 60 years ago it wasn't unusual for all levels of grades to be housed in the same classroom under one teacher in rural America. Nor was it unusual for the pets to accompany their owners to and from school, and to remain on the school grounds until dismissal.
