I wouldn't. If you do, start with a single speed with a freewheel, then moved to a fixed gear. This type of riding is something you need to ease yourself into.
I can’t understand why cyclists in cities would rather ride what is essentially a track bike, particularly as you cannot brake reliably or freewheel. It seems exponentially less safe than an traditional road bike, which also has gears on it. I can’t really see much of an advantage to using a fixie like that other than cost, and most of the bikes in this video seem like they cost the same as a nice aero road bike. It feels like a total hipster move to be edgy and ride a bike originally intended to be ridden on a closed circuit velodrome. You broke probably every UCI safety rule in this video
Same reason they run red lights and weave in and out of traffic all the time. They're choosing to forgo basic safety measures in order to "look cool". The problem is they don't even look cool at all and people just think "what an asshole cyclist" whenever they see one zoom past. I get that these people need to do their job quickly, but even ambulances which literally save human lives don't run red lights as much as these idiots do, and those things have SIRENS on them.
The background sound is not the reason we can’t hear you ,its the dumb background music. It’s horrible first of all and it’s to loud can’t hear you speak
