Love this video, but it does make me worried for the Alaskan cruise, because I can't stand for more than a few minutes at a time, and I'm wondering if i rent a scooter if I can even take it off a ship to explore the seaports. And also getting on and off the ship in those lines will kill me.
Hi! We went on a cruise to Alaska in 2019. My mother-in-law rented a scooter and u can take on and off the ship to explore the ports and u can use it all over the ship. Trust me u will not alone on the scooter, there's ALOT of scooter users. We rented from Scoot A Round, they will have it waiting for u in ur cabin when u get on board and u leave it there when the cruise is over. Hope this helps.

I use a MacBook Pro 16” it’s a 2019 model so fairly old and all I use is iMovie that comes with the Mac. I use my iPhone 12 to shoot the videos. If you’re unfamiliar with iMovie just watch a few YT videos on how to edit videos using iMovie. Thanks for watching our videos we appreciate it
Cruising is my favorite vacation. I’ve never been on one of the huge ships. Too many people for me. I’m ready to go again. My last cruise a couple of years ago was a 14 day Caribbean on the Norwegian Sun! I’ve been to the Caribbean many times, 2 Alaskan and I cruised the Greek Islands. Hopefully my next will be in the early winter. I’ve always left from Florida. I have friends that live there. I’m from Central California I love watching your cruising videos, but I don’t know if I could handle the huge crowds. I’ve sailed on the Princess, Norwegian, Holland American and Epirotiki. I’m 75 and love cruising!
I do prefer a ship that has less people, but I want to experience all the cruising has to offer so I will certainly go on the bigger cruises, but I prefer a smaller one

At costa maya at the nice area you liked and said that’s where you would go next time at the pool where you could see the ships would you say it’s completely to the right or left as you come into the port after exiting the ship? Also do they offer any non alcohol fruity drinks ? Thanks again.
When you exit the pier and walk through the port entrance it is on the left, but you still have to walk through the duty free area which is straight and a little right. When you get through the duty free are just walk to the left and it is behind the massage area
Great video! How was the weather when you got to the sea and the ports? My family and I are going on the same cruise in February 2025. I've read when you leave Galveston in February it's like in the 60s? I've only gone on cruises leaving from Miami, so I wonder how this weather compares. :)
Costa Maya has three different pool areas that are free right there at the port but to get a beach you will have to exit the port. You could take a taxi to a private beach or a public beach summer free summer expensive in Cozumel there’s no swimming pool at the port, but within walking distance is there are different resorts that will have beach stays you can pay a price for that day and stay at their resort on the beach or you can take a taxi and go further away as well

I would call and figure out who to contact for rentals. There are plenty of people using scooters in port

Yes Galveston can be 50’s - 70’s but the ports are all in the high 70’s to low 90’s

I think we ended up getting on at about 1115 but the earliest people got on around 1015 1030

The port could definitely be improved. Royal Caribbean’s port area is a little better
