    This video should have come out April Fools Day. Other than the Mustang II, all the cars featured if in clean shape would bring big bucks today at any collector car auction.

      @@AMERICAN-AUTOSWill do! There ìs no denying that the highly desirable performance cars from the 60's & 70's definitely had shortcomings when comparing handling, braking, fuel efficiency & reliability to today's vehicles. Sadly emission regulations took away the legendary horsepower after 1970 or 1971 as was well presented in the video. However, it needs to be clarified that part of the drop in horsepower numbers was merely due to a change by the manufacturers from using the gross HP rating to the lower net HP rating in the early 1970's.

      @AMERICAN-AUTOS  Месяц назад +1

      @@johnmcmullen456 you are absolutely correct in that regard.
      We have another series of videos scheduled soon that will focus on explaining the issues faced by this category of vehicles due to modern regulations.

    I grew up with many of these cars, owned some and friends owned others in this list. Never experienced the “dark secrets hidden under the hood” we enjoyed these cars, even with the lower horsepower when the gas crisis hit. I can only imagine what they will say about my Challenger Redeye 30 years from now.

    It’s starts out by the computer narrator saying the “1927 Mercury Montevideo GT “ even thought the caption clearly listed 1972. Someone who knew absolutely nothing about cars put this together

    One of my favorite cars from the 1960's was the 1968 Mercury Cougar . It had a very sleek design , hideaway
    headlights , and sequential taillights . Ford Motor Company ruined this car when they up -sized it to a bigger car ,
    rather than its smaller design .

    There are too many people creating these videos that have no idea about what they are talking about. After 1972 HP was downgraded to a parasitic 8.0 compression, and the HP was rated with a full load of accessories. The insurance rates for muscle cars was raised tremendously. Why are they calling 1972 thru 1978 muscles cars from the 60's.

      @@AMERICAN-AUTOS I would even be willing to critique the verbiage before you publish it. I cut my teeth drag racing at Union Grove WI, at the age of 16. Ran 110 before I blew the motor. I ran around with a group of gearheads that went on to make some serious power, and racing. One got his 240 Mph License, During the age of Grumpy Jenkins, another went on to racing stock cars in NASCAR, We all blew up are cars at some point.
