    I like the slower pacing of this song compared to say, duke of death. It feels more suited to an empire fighting a brutal defensive than a western power on a rampage

    • @Sarcasmses
      @Sarcasmses 2 года назад +16

      well this is a march song, played when armies are moving but not fighting, as opposed to a battle song like Duke of Death that only plays when the fighting begins. So the slower pace makes sense.

      @@Sarcasmses It also belongs to the southern European factions, so I imagine that's why some people may not be used to it.
      Also yes. Total War used to have music for when your army was waiting deployed, when it was marching and when it was fighting. All fitting

      @@JonatasAdoM I think the music played depending on your battle location rather than your chosen faction. For example I played as Scotland but started hearing this when I fought around Sicily

      @@whitegoose2017 It's kinda fun to try and see how much damage you can do to the AI as fast as possible, but honestly, savor the flavor. Let the AI grow itself into a threat and fight them gradually. Makes the campaign a bigger challenge and lets you see later-game units. You'll never see musketeers or cannons if you zerg rush the AI.

    This almost sounds like something out a Metroid game. Like when you make it deep into the planet and get close to lava.
