When I see the crew rallying behind Reed to push to his maximum potential and then upon seeing the man absolutely throwing down, I get choked up. It reminds me that running is a solo sport but the comradery and support is something special that gives that extra motivation to be our best. Racing a HM tomorrow. I'll be thinking of this at the line. Great job, Reed. Thanks, Tinman.
I ran it too, and from watching it I'm getting tear drops that brings all the memories. Having Berlin as my first marathon in my pocket with 2:57:44 two weeks before Chicago - I could finally relax and enjoy the crowed the cheering and my girlfriend running by myside. What a fantastic sport this is. Glad to be a part of it)
Great video! The cheering and emotions from the team around the 21 mile mark were awesome to see. Could tell everyone loves Reed and was invested in seeing him succeed
Let's go Reed!!! Perfectly judged effort in that weather. Worth a few minutes for sure. Shows that you're right up there with the top guys in the US. Loved this video.
Reed - excellent build up in preparing, great mental attitude, you ran very even pace the whole way and finished strong. You have a bright future in dropping that time down a lot further! Congratulations!
Since the new I’ve been trying to run everyday. Then I found this RUclips channel and last week I ran 8mi my longest run and I’ll keep going because this team is insane and motivating. Going to have to get some gear!
@@charlieasplin2032 I'm just putting it out. If you're a 2:15 men marathon runner you should find something else to do. Even a 2:10 male runner is not impressive as such.
I was so pumped to watch this race and chasing Reed and my mother in law was truly inspiring! Good luck out there and I can’t wait to see you race again.
After running 26.2 miles (42 kms) and entering the city of Athens, the Greek soldier Pheidippides screamed “Nike, Nike, Nike” to announce the outcome of the "Battle of Marathon" and collapsed and died. Pheidippides ran bare foot and 26.2 mile running took toll on his body. On his foot he had blisters, laceration and blood clot under the toe nails. But his screaming the word "Nike, Nike" was not for Nike Shoes. "Nike" is the Greek word for "Victory". Lets celebrate the Victory at the "Battle of Marathon", Greece. Salute you the Brave Heart, Pheidippides !!!
@@jonahfry2623 it is still a great run by Reed. He needs to keep it up and train more. The reason I mentioned the women is because Brigid Kosgei ran 2:14:04 for the world record! After the race she said a lady can run 2:10! It is possible. Tha just puts in to prespective to how the bar has been raised dramatically. It's frightening to the men
“It wasn’t my day which means my day is coming”
Amazing wisdom and outlook

Got goosebumps watching the race coverage. Great video and way to Reed!
I think “Mini Golf Man” Reed Fischer has a better ring to it than “Marathon Man”

Nice detail with the Tinman bottles. Probably the classiest bottles in the race. It’s the little things…

It’s his fiancé and she is nervous for him.

this guy reed looks like layne staley
Nice vdo🥰
Why the obsession over "78% recovered"? That shouldn't get in the way of a workout.
